14 games in the NFL in 4 years, only 4 of those games the last 2 years.

While I'm fine with him being the starter, I can't imagine there are too many successful QBs who end up with such limited playing time their first 4 years in the league and then come out and light the world on fire.

*Note I said not too many...before people throw out a single name and beat their chests.

Steve Young...beats chest

Edit: Oh and Kurt Warner

But yes I get what you are saying.

Is he the ultimate "franchise QB" probably not but who is to say he can't be better than Andy Dalton?

I was thinking A-rod, but I don't know how long he sat without looking it up.

Edit: Warner didn't sit in the NFL for years. He played 1 game the year prior to breaking out. Sure, he was elsewhere, but I'm being more specific about NFL and having all of these scouts around more regularly

I don't think anyone believes he's going to tear things up, and with what the Defense should bring, none of the QBs should need to. It's a matter of who do we think could manage the game better.

I'm on the Taylor bandwagon, just too disgusted by some of the throws I had seen Manuel make.

In the end, I think they're likely both very similar overall, in a Madden score sort of way. One may be better at X and the other better at Y, but total things up and they'd be quite equal.

Who?? LOL I kid I kid.

Rodgers was also a first round pick stuck behind a legend.

But the question Pach said is legitimate...what will happen when teams adjust to him?

I liked him in the pocket the last 2 preseason games.

I still want to see him stretch the field though

Yeah...I had apparently clicked on the Career Stats link rather than look at the page you linked. THAT page didn't list starts.

But cmon man!! How can you think he played 14 games of relief???

just heard Schopp all giddy over the possibility of the bills finding that diamond in the rough...

2T has never started a regular season game and, based upon three preseason games, the media has him as "the answer"

I don't get it...been through that movie too many times before

- Michael Pachla

I think you answered your own question. Aren't we all excited about what we saw in preseason? It is the possibility. Even though it was preseason he showed us everything we would want to see in a qb. I can't remember the last time someone did that.

He also started 29 NFL games prior to taking over for Montana.

Best sports quote of all time.

Buc's coach John McKay, when asked about his team's execution: "I'm all for it"
