on a true cup contender, phaneuf is second pairing

i will always stand by that

you watch what happens to phaneuf's plus minus stats (you brought them up first) without a kessel lead offense

they're gonna nose dive like Kadri into a pile of cocaine.

- Dozzer

yeah, now I'm really confused.

Kessel was a -34, and you think that Phaneuf's +/- will be hurt with Kessel leaving?

Same. Well... maybe as the #2 depending on the team.

Just wondering who will Babcook have the greatest effect on this team? Who will be the player that stands out?

For some reason JVR came to mind, I can see him having that net presence that Babcock always demands of his wingers.

OK, people may or may not agree with that statement, but on a team with Rielly, Gardiner, Polak, Hunwick and Robidas, it's pretty obvious that he's on the top pairing.

I'm praying it is Kadri.

I'm sacrificing a goat for it to be Gardiner.

If by greatest effect you mean most improved on the ice I'd have to go with Gards.

kessel's minus dropped off in the back half of the season when tempy coach actually tried to get him to play in defensive situations.

phaneuf was still getting O zone draws etc.

he isnt good wedgie.. sorry

why bother?

let the kids grow.. play him against weaker opposition and move him at the deadline to a contender for far more than he's worth

just good business.

I don't think it will have a massive effect on many players that are on the Leafs tbh.

But i think it will have a huge effect on players that are on the Marlies, Solar Bears and as of yet undrafted players.

Please let Hockey Canada know.

They need to apologize to you and hockey fans everywhere for thinking he was better than Gardiner and Polak.

We need Carlton to be caught with an underaged grizzly bear.

I can't take 6 more weeks of the Phaneuf debate.

There will be players on the Leafs that will be here for a bit so there has to be someone he affects in a positive way you would think.

Maybe sometime around Christmas they will have the system or whatever he teaches them down. If not then we know we have stupid players that can't learn to play the right way.
