Does the alleged victim have to press charges? I would think Kane could always offer to pay her off if its necessary for the alleged victim to press charges.

I assume she would. But let me ask you (although this only one person's stance): If you or a friend of yours was raped, would you want money or would you want to see him locked up? I know my answer.

I see no cross country stuff.

The Workout
In 12 Minutes:
1000m Row
THEN As Many Rounds as Possible:
15 Thrusters (Rx: 95/65 Scaled: 75/55)
12 Burpees
9 Box Jumps (24/20)

- Scoob

Can I pick any beverage for the Burpee contest? I find that Barq's Root Bear works best.

Money. Then I'd pay a lifer in the joint, and a couple of guards if need be, to implement the death penalty, after gratuitous torture of course.

Seems like he's always had that confidence level in himself
- ob18

Yeah. But we need to see how he reacts when that first bit of adversity kicks in. He has always been so much bigger and stronger than the competition that he could make up for any shortcomings in his play with physicality.

That won't be always be the case with the big club. Again, Jesse Biddle had a ton of confidence when he was drafted too.

General question for the fan base:

If a forward, in his overage junior season, has 45 points and 76 PIM on a first-place team, do you think he has a good shot at making an NHL roster?

- jmatchett383

Goulbourne?

It probably depends on a bunch of factors, but most likely no unless it's as an energy-line kind of role.

If it's a bigger, more physical player you have to figure he benefited disproportionately in his overage season. If the player was blocked by studs at his position, and he played a different role than he might play in the NHL, perhaps there is a chance.

Maybe if he had an injury and that tempered his stats. Or maybe if there was a maturity problem and he doesn't get it together until his early 20's.

But overall, most likely no.

If you're talking about Goulbourne, then definitely no.

But if you get the $$, he's not going to jail.

Pure coincidence then that Tyrell had EXACTLY 45 points and 76 penalty minutes

I don't know anything about this girl or her family, but I'd rather him to jail, and, were she my daughter, I would visit him every day to ask him if he's having a good time having no freedom, if he'd see me.

In a theoretical world.

One of my moms college friends is married to a legit hell's angel ranking member. Dude is scary as (frank). He's missing an ear, and has been shot multiple times... Nice man though

I was dating this girl from Gloucester, and her best friend's dad was a former gang member...I think Angel's but maybe Warlocks. Anyway, the Dude had (frank) You tattooed on the inside of his lip. But actually really nice, and funny as poop.

I can't believe we are still a month away from preseason games. How I yearn for hockey and fall beers. When the time comes, I will be in my glory.

I have a pretty interesting story about them. My aunt was married to (and murdered by) a hell's angel.

My dad was a newspaper reporter at the time. About a year or two prior to my aunt's murder case, my dad was covering a different murder case. Every night, my dad would go to the hotel bar, as would the DA. After a few nights my dad got pretty friendly with the DA.

Flash forward a 1-2 years. My dad walked into the courtroom for my aunt's murder case and saw the same DA; however, he was in Hell's Angels colors (He was there to support his fellow member). The DA walked up to my dad to greet him and said, "you're here to cover this case, too?" To which my dad replied, "No, the murder victim was my wife's sister."

Barbell thrusters are when you hold the bar across your chest while standing. Then you drop down into a squat and explode up. As you get to the top of your stance, you press the bar above your head. It's a great whole body workout.

That's pretty ballsy of a DA to wear colors in a public forum like that.

NBA backboards can rest easy, Chocolate Thunder has left the building

R.I.P Darryl Dawkins. One of the most colorful players to ever lace em up for the Sixers.

Nice read on Morin, and a quote from Ghost.

Gotta love Morin's confidence and work ethic!

- TheGreat28

During his first year after being drafted, Sam stuck around after practices and fired 100 one timers on net, since his point shot was often seen as a weakness in his game.

I like that poop. Morin's got a good head on his shoulders. I like him a lot.

That's good stuff right there. I'm not sure why all youngsters and NHL hopefuls don't have that kind of drive and fire in em. I mean your playing for a chance to play in the NHL for franks sake. Why not give it your all and go the extra mile to better your game.
