I dunno, it's gotta be better than the year Dave Lewis was behind the bench. . . or 96/97 when the Bruins came in DEAD LAST. remember when Thornton was supposed to be this teams savior? Just to be traded away for Sturm and a bag of pucks? Being a Boston sports fan is always a rollercoaster ride with ups and downs. It's part of the "fun".

pretty sure he's a young guy that didn't experience much of that.

We sure did get our moneys worth out of the Sturmenator.

Honestly if we tank this year, it wouldnt be the worst year to do it. Just secretly hoping we draft a superstar kid and actually keep him. Its not likely to happen, but a guy can dream.

What do you guys think this lineup can produce? Optimistically. 5 guys with 20 or more goals (a stretch i know)? I cant see anyone being a 30 goal scorer this year. Rask will pretty much have to mimic Price last year if the D core remains the same.

100 points and a final wild card seed is a glass all the way full kind of prediction.

they were 2 points out last year. A healthy Chara and Krejci makes the difference. They're not going to light the world fire but it's also not the Red Sux we're talking about here either. I feel a playoff spot is not at all out of the question

Every player in the top 9 except maybe Krejci has hit and/or should reasonably be expected to hit 20 G. We don't have a stud but i think we can keep up scoring by committee. 100 pts is a reasonable expectation I think.

I can see Marchand, Bergy, Beleskey(hopefully), and one of the kids hitting 20.

Really isn't room in Julian's system for a 30 goal scorer. That a recipe for trade right there.

I think it's possible. it all depends on how quick the new guys can catch on to Claude's system. Or if Claude lasts past Thanksgiving.

Nope, not true. Everything is terrible because they had a down year and there is ....ZERO.... percent chance they can turn it around. Teams know....EXACTLY... What were gonna do and even bothering to consider a scenario where the team doesn't totally bottom out and eventually get sold is a waste of time.

Also, I REALLY wanted a youth movement, and now that were getting it. There AREN'T enough vets!!! How could they let this happen?

In a sport where over 50% of the teams make the playoffs, never say ZERO

The Dave Lewis Era was an abomination, and that's putting it lightly. He'd plop in front of the camera and talk about "all the positives to take from the game, and all the good things the team did". After blowout losses or being shutout nonetheless. I always wanted to throw stuff at the tv just from the sight of him. That rollercoaster ride was definitely not fun.

I'm hoping connolly, but not placing any bets. I think spooner should have gotten the 7th player award last year, so i'm hoping he can continue being the surprise player he was when he was recalled towardst he end of the season last year.
