I have 2 Lamoriello questions:
1. Will high jersey (race car) numbers per forbidden on Toronto as they were in NJ? (along w/ #13 which he also forbid)
2. Will he ban regular season facial hair as he did in jersey?
Important hockey questions... |

If I had to guess, your mom. I think that's what he does. In typical Leaf fashion. Not because it makes sense or it's the right thing to do, but more out of panic and desperation. He'll probably buy her out of the act before it's done, because it was that bad of a decision. |

Kessel is the problem
- burn
You have just as much sight as me in that dressing room. I'm only hypothesizing based on the following:
If he was so great, why did Boston trade him
As disgruntled as Wilson is, perhaps there was a bit of truth of what he said about him (kessel)
Leiweke's comment on someone's sense of entitlement in the room
The shut your franking mouth incident between him and Phaneuf
Babcock seemed indifferent to Kessel being gone
If he was so great why did Toronto trade him (retaining salary and getting hosed in the deal for such a great player)
And when I say great, I don't just mean skill, I'm in no way disputing his offensive ability (and I will miss seeing that) but being the whole package.
Think what you want but I'm not convinced he wasn't a problem. It sucks he was awesome to watch when he was on.

I don't buy that (if any of that is true) that him being gone changes things for others. Kessel being gone doesn't make bozak better.
Removing skill for your team doesn't make it more skillful. Removing a supposed dog that didn't work hard or care about anything but himself from the team doesn't make others that didn't work hard or care about anything but themselves work harder or give a damn about the team.

Right, we are going to see what bozak is really made of now. bozak was only really effective when kessel was on. hey member Jonas Hogland? Only usefull when he was with Sundin, otherwise useless.

And I will have to agree to disagree here, on your second point. yes it's gonna suck not having the skill of kessel, and our goals for will certainly drop, not gonna argue. But you've obviously never been around a negative person for a prolonged period of time. It wears on you. He could have been rubbing off on some of the guys. I used to work in a factory with some grumpy old italian men. I became quite jaded and negative. So that where I disagree.
Obviosuly moving him is not gonna Make us all of a sudden win, who is gonna score the goals? Moving him has sent a message to the room and to change the culture as they keep preaching. Young guys coming up soon, don't need someone being a mind screw there. This team last year just quit. You are not going to see that this year. |
