Teams are not game planning for these guys right now. I don't care who starts to be honest. I am just not putting Tyrod on a pedestal currently.

No one is. They're putting him higher than EJ, which, let's be honest, is pretty (frank)in easy. You're never going to hear a sensible human being say that Tyrod is starting league wide QB quality. But he's less poopty than EJ. That's the entire debate.


I also agree that we should just cut bait, let EJ wander off and rid ourselves of our first round waste.

Also,

With the Way Roman runs his offense, you will Have Tyrod/EJ as 1-2. Cassel cannot run the read option and limits what Roman wants to do.

Tyrod has literally proved nothing in the NFL currently. He has a career Completion % of 54 and 3 INT's to 0 TD's. He is an unknown and that is why people like him.

To say he is better than Manuel is a little far fetched at this point, IMO.

so is Caitlyn Jenner the pitcher or catcher in prison?

Any starting WR makes that adjustment and catches that ball 9 outta 10 times.

Sure EJ looked a little better than he has but he is doing it against 3rd stringers, in both preseason games and still holds the record for most passes hitting a hospitality tent.

I think Taylor could be legitimately better than Manuel or Cassel. But he hasn't proven anything yet.... At all

All i can say is I'm glad this is a Sabres blog lol... Anyone that is still an EJ supporter I give you props. After Trent and JP I have learned to give up on guys who have proven they don't have it.

Cassel is the safe option and Taylor is the risky one. I for one love what i have seen from Taylor. Even if he is a one year wonder for us this season. Kaep did it for the 49ers and got them to the superbowl. I think Taylor can at least do it to get us into the playoffs.

I haven't declared Taylor the starter by any means. I still want to see him hit a deep pass.

The problem EJ will always have to overcome is the fan bases lack of trust of him completing a simple screen pass or not missing a wide open WR when he is on the run.

If EJ could learn the 7-20 yard pass he would be my starter but my god there isn't a more frustrating thing than when EJ spins away from pressure only to under throw a wide open WR by 5 yards. It pretty much sums up his career up until this point.

Manuel had a TD drop on 3rd and goal last night, then threw a bullet on 4th and goal.

As far as actually throwing the ball, Manuel is the only QB with a TD in each of the scrimmage, and 1st 2 preseason games. Neither Cassel or Taylor have one.

I don't get how he has been seemingly eliminated here

The 2013 QB draft class was weak. Still, it frustrates me to no end that the Bills decided that a guy who wasn't even the best quarterback on his own team in college was the best quarterback in the draft.

I do think, however, Manuel can be serviceable somewhere, just not here.

he looked so good that first half on the road vs chicago, and was grooving his rookie year til he got hurt vs the browns
