I hate to be that guy, but what have the canucks won again? oh right nothing. stanley cup final lost, we did that too. Bad teams get high picks, that is how the system works.

Excuse me while I lift the dynasty proving double president cups in the air

How many of those have you won?
Bad teams that get good picks and surround them with veterans through trade or FA get better and challenge for the other cup, poorly tan teams continue to spin in circles while getting good picks. ......

I believe that was another player... one of the revolving RWers with the Sedins, Taylor Pyatt I think it was.
- DariusKnight

I know about Pyatt, I heard Ryper had that happen when he played for the Moose in Wpg

I just read she died in car accident on route to a game in Calgary, that could explain the extreme depression

I dont remember off hand how many prez cups with have, but the oilers have 5 Stanley cups. Canucks 0. I love when people try to use historybto prove a point, but like to cut out what they dont. The oilers will turn it around at some point a s you will be complaining about the picks they got to do it. Tour just bitter hockey fan grow up. Teams have their down points and highs.

Yes lots of guys to take the heat away from Bo. They kind of explained why they so badly wanted to acquire Brandon Sutter, which makes sense because Bo was obviously already better than Bonino.

Despite what some fans on here say , I think Sutter/Horvat will be a good combo 2/3

I think it will be smart , heads up play with few mistakes.

Very much so. It will be a nice change from Bonino/Richardson for sure. Much upside to Sutter/Horvat down the middle and once 4LC is solidified we will look decent down the middle again.

Shoulda' Coulda' Woulda' eh boys?

Oh well... It really sucked to see the comedy of errors and bad luck hit them when it mattered most.

Without the Hamhuis injury and the Kesler injury ( and his act catching up with him ) perhaps things would have been different.

I never had the attachment to that '11 team like I did the '94 team.

Hopefully one day in our lifetime we will see them go all the way.

- rugdnit

I think it will happen but the Sedins will be gone and we will have solidified another core.

2011 was a combination of so much crap it was crazy. The Rome suspension that should have been one game but Buttman and Campbell decided to make rule changes during the SCF. Kesler and Hammer hurt and Lou pulling the big choke as well. Buttman was just waiting for a reason to stick it to us in 2011 and the Rome hit gave it to him. After we went up 2-0 you had to know Buttman and his merry band of idiot referees were gonna give it to us. Still would have been nice to see the players find a way around it but with the Lou choke and AV's refusal to start Schneider in GM 6 in Boston the writing was on the wall. One would have thought after Games 3and 4 in Boston by Lou Schneider would have got the call in GM 6 or 7 after Lou chokes again in Gm 6. Oh well. Gotta let it go sooner or later...lol

94 was super tough as I really thought we were the team of destiny with the heart and grit we had. Yes the refs gave it to us in GM 7 especially on the Ranger 3rd goal but man we had chances to tie that game...just didn't bounce in.

This is why I think we win the cup this year.

Brock Boeser scores a hat trick with the Sedins in his first exhibition game, makes the team and forc es Jim Hughson to call him 17 year old rookie sensation .

Grenier finds instant chemistry with Sutter on and off the ice to find many years of scoring bliss and harmony.

Hansen gets smoked during a practice by a Sbisa hit/miss that was meant for the other team . He gets amnesia and forgets he has hands of stone and scores 35 goals next year.

Linden Vey avoids steroids scandel with some good masking and turns into a beast as the best 4 th line shut down centre in the league.

Edler stops reading Bieksas self help Defence for Dummies book.

Sbisa gets tired of being insulted and becomes the all star Dman Benning knew he was.

Miller gets injured, Markstrom gets shelled and third string Canata steps in to win the Vezina and Calder.

Spot on. Bo's progression last season was quite rapid and with increased TOI this year and hopefully no injuries he should flirt with 20 goals. Same with Sutter. He will have better linemates and more TOI and should hopefully flirt with 45-50 points. Richardson and Bonino would have struggled to get over 15 goals each especially with Richardson out of the lineup every time we looked up. So I think for sure MNGT is hoping that the progression of Horvat/Sutter will show this year over Bonino/Richardson and I think it will.

I heard a story and have no idea if it is true or not, maybe someone here knows. I heard his Fiancée was on her way to see him play and was killed in a car crash. If it is true , it is easy to understand the depression?

Did anyone else her that?

- VANTEL

Not true. I golfed with him a week before he died and I knew his girlfriend.
Something happened that you and I would deal with no problem, but he wasn't able to.
