It always NFL and NBA players. Why now must my NHL be stricken with this BS

Voynov, Kane and who went to jail like a year or two ago? Khabibulan?

We all have our flaws, doesn't matter what league you are in, little company you work at or own, or political office you hold.

Good people do bad things, bad people do good things, people just do shady, selfish things they think they can get away with (or cover for someone else)... impacts or not to other individuals be damned.

Just hope the penalty is suitable to the crime and individual...

Prust is much better fighter than Dorsett. Yes, he could probably stop Ferland or least keep him honest.

I posted this yesterday.
260 NFL players arrested over the last 260 weeks, 1 a week for 5 years.

so would Prust have put a better stop to Ferlund last year in the playoffs running around smashing everyone? No one else on the team was able to police that. I think this move right or wrong is a direct answer to that. I dont say I agree, but Benning saw something as a problem and he has attempted to solve that problem. So now what will be interesting is to see the outcome of the way JB handles topics he feels are an issue.

I think I heard the same stat quoted on the radio...

I am a white man in my mid 40's living in Canada. I think it is more common to be arrested in the states than in Canada for black folks, but it is still common here. I am seldom ever stopped by the police. The times I most remember being pulled over is when I have a friend in the car who just happens to be black... Have never received a ticket when being pulled over with friends in the car, cops just want to find out who the black guy is....

Are NFL players breaking the law when they are being arrested? Some definitely, all of them, I don't know. Were they all charged and found guilty? Unlikely. But the USA has more people in jail per capita than any other country, or is it just more people in jail than any other country in the world?

If some of these people have money now and never had it before, you are bound to see some excess. Can't imagine what it must be like to grow up in poverty, see the better life and treatment of those that have money and influence and then you get the money and think you are untouchable on top of the world. All compounded by fan and media worship.

Boston Bruins, 2011: I honestly can’t think of a single reason I shouldn’t count this one. [Briefly interrupted by a group of marauding Canucks fans throwing my flaming car through my front window.] Oh, right.

I saw the trailer this morning, I'm looking forward to it, glad it got made. I don't know if any local theater will be able to play the 70MM edition other than IMAX.

Don't think he needs to be lucic size to have an affect on what he was doing. Just the fact he would do something. Maybe 1 drop of the gloves would have ended it all. Hard to say but now we will see

He wins his fights...hence he provides a deterrent. Dorsett's face is a punching bag and he doesn't scare Linden Vey

Wow.

I have no issue with Dorsett or his ability to win or lose fights. Just happy he was here to step up for his team mates. Which was definitely lacking on this club.

Winning your fight is not as important as showing up. Sure... You don't want to get beat down, but if you don't show up and make the guy work... The other team knows they are not going to be held accountable.

At least show up... and answer the damn bell.
