People need to temper their expectations. He's 18 years old. He'll turn 19 shortly after the start of the season. Just watching the World's should be enough to tell you he'll be able to make a difference, but it's going to take some time and it's not going to happen every game.

That said, if Bylsma can get him against favorable defensive matchups, that should help a lot too.

Let's not forget he will not be the only addition to the team from last season, and he won't have to be a savior all unto himself. In addition to Eichel, we'll also see Reinhart, ROR and EKane. I think the team is going to be WAY more dynamic, and there won't be a "honeymoon phase" with any individual player.

I think this team is going to have some really good games and some really bad ones. It's part of having such a young team. But overall, this season should be WAY more entertaining that it was the last 2 years. Even on the "ugly" nights.
