I've always considered Toronto "my team". I started following baseball right around the time they won those two World Series' but my interest rarely went beyond looking at their standings in the paper. 20 years of suck will do that to you. Still, when they do make noise, I do take notice.

I played little league baseball, so I was very much a baseball fan as a kid. I've posted before about this, but my baseball fandom basically revolves around the teams the Bisons had as parent clubs when I was younger: Indians and Pirates (not much of a White Sox fan). Then it split off during some expansions and I (rightfully!!) chose teams during each expansion...and those teams have each won titles.

Though I was a slight fan of the Yankees as a kid, but that was my dad's fault.

The woman accusing Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane of rape went to his Hamburg, New York home because her friend wanted to go there, according to a report in The Buffalo News.

Per the story in The News:

“They were at SkyBar, and Kane invited them to his home. Her friend really wanted to go to Kane’s house, and she didn’t want her friend to go there alone,” a friend of the woman told The Buffalo News. “It wasn’t her idea to go there.”

I played LL baseball and was a Yankee fan because their games were on cable and I watched a lot of them, kind of a Blue Jays fan but I was never a huge fan of watching baseball. We played a lot of it in my neighborhood though.
