I know. I'm just jealous because flyer contracts get handed out like Halloween candy

Yea, the Flyers had Couturier for a couple of years at 1.75M a year, still have Simmonds at under 4M for 4 more years. Handed out like candy.

Advanced stats crew: does "TOI/game" have some meaning other than time spent on ice per 60 minutes of game time? Because according to the annotation on this chart, Roman Josi plays 205 minutes per 60 minutes, which I find remarkable (eat that, Ryan Suter!)

Hoffman given 1 yr $2 mil. Will be interesting to see if he can repeat last season.

I'm guessing it's a goof by whoever created the chart, because that's supposed to mean average TOI at 5 on 5.

Lindros is my all-time favorite Flyer and the reason I got into hockey. But, if he played today, do you think he'd be less effective? With the way the game is played today and with the average size players being larger than they were 20+ years ago, would he be maybe just a top-20 player nowadays? His skills would still be top-notch, but some of the physicality he displayed would have to be tempered.

Lindros would completely dominate the current league....no question.
