I don't think JB brought Prust in to play on the same line as Dorsett. He wants to have truculance across the team, not just on 1 line.

Its up to the coach in the end but that is sound logic.

You are having a very long summer. When's the next wedding?
- A_SteamingLombardi

Cancelled my buddies a week from now. Told him their is way to much shyt going on and I couldn't make it happen. A stag and three more weddings in the upcoming months and a new 850,000 dollar house I need to pay for.

The bank account is dry.

Haha, I thought I was a step behind.

It was explained that I didnt know. I was replying by opening up a second window while going page by page on the first. Once I started to catch up it was obvious.

If you need it explained a 3rd time I'll post it in a meme or something so it catches your attention.

I'm not even going to read through this this thread... I can only assume it's the same as the last 8 pages on the old thread.

I think Canucks got better today.

Still lots of work to be done but good moves.

Disagree. We overpaid for something we did not need - more low-skill, non-physical mediocrity. We've got plenty of that to go around.

- BINGO!

Do you mean why was I using a second window?

I do it that way when I'm several pages back because it brings you to the end of the thread and I have have to back track. I stopped reading the threads backwards when I quit drinking...

My internet really sucks. I live out of town with no internet service. I run a turbo stick off a modem beside a cel signal booster. HB is one of the worse sites when you have bad net with all the flash player adds etc.. I find it easier to read with one window and reply with the other. It reducing the amount of clicks which typically result in page lag. If I'm caught up and on the last page with everyone... one window is fine.

He has missed 3 games in 4 years. Better battler on the puck. I have seen him battle. He is no where near as soft as he is made out to be. And he had 21 frggen goals as a third liner

I think Suter is better than Bonino. I feel more confident playing Corrado over Clandenning... none of the picks are players yet... so I agree with Vantel... but cant deny we gave up too much.

We gave up a wrist shot for a better skater who's on the good side of 50% in the circle. He's defensively more sound than Bonino although I cant say I've watched him enough to take notice. I'll take Suter and Horvat's strong faceoffs over that seldom on target rocket that Bonino has.... Bonino skates like he's on mescaline. I think we will be happy with the switch.

And we finally have a decent RH face off guy for defensive zone face offs.

Every game I have seen him he battles hard. I have seen around 20 times. Not a huge amount but enough to get an opinion

From last thread where I was forgotten and left behind.

- LeftCoaster

We got the Royals back, so in the end it worked out for both of us

Catch anything lately? I was in Sooke last week and lost a 30lb Spring at the boat....ever seen a big man cry?

- LeftCoaster

Ha, lost enough big fish at the boat to be standing ankle deep in tears.

I was up at Chilko River a week ago. Outstanding dry fly fishing in one of the most prettiest places in the province. The big Golden Stones were hatching and my little jet boat was perfect for that section of upper river. Got to catch a boatload of trout on my new 5wt GLoomis.

I like Sutter here now n the future.
We could 't shut down the Flames late last playoffs n Bonino was part of that.
Benning used assets he got as well as stocking up the prospects last drafts.
lastly we now have prolly our own 2016 1st 2nd n 3rd n can do an OS on an RFA.

I don't think we'll be happy. I don't think we'll be unhappy. That's just my point about Benning: I don't feel the team gets boosted after any trade he's made - now or for the future. He seems to like the lateral move.

Cap space this year is fine.
Vrbata will be gone next year or at TDL n thats 5m.
Out of the playoffs n fetches good picks/prospects at the TDL
Next year we will see at least one more prospect playing.
That'll be JV or CC or maybe both.
Shinkaruk will push both of the above.
Sutter is 1yr younger n will be more prominent here.

It would have to be used this year before the draft. After draft we need 2017 draft picks. They would become RFA unsigned after July 1 and we use these picks in June

Help me understand what you mean?

Kesler it is what it is. He demanded out and we had 1 team to trade with and zero leverage. We still have a very good prospect out of that situation in McCann.

Bieksa for a 2nd is not lateral.

Garrison for cap space was not lateral.

They picked Markstrom over Lack going forward. Miller will be gone soon. I don't see that as lateral.

This trade today gave us a better player than Bonino on a shorter term. This trade may be the closest to a lateral move but it could make room down the road for Cassels and McCann.

Maybe you and I have different ideas of lateral.
