thats why its smart to have Donaldson, Martin and Tuli under control for several seasons when JB and EE contracts are up

If you're a free agent this offseason, and you are looking for a team that provides run support, and need an example of how that run support can positively impact your record (drew hutchinson), you just may consider joining said team that is the Blue Jays. Not to mention 20M (beurle) 12M (Richardey) 2M (difference in Reyes and Tulu's salary)=34M off the books.

But that's money that is already there that's coming off the books. If they were reducing the budget they wouldn't be trading for these guys.

I understand that and in that case it's an okay deal. Did anyone else hear that he got a 2 million dollar bonus for being traded? Who paid that? Also, he can ONLY be traded once in his contract. It's a solid contract for that guy.

If we don't win a ship in the next 3 years Hoffman and syndegard (however u spell it) will hurt. But titty is a huge upgrade on Reyes with the same financials.

AA's M.O. the last few years has been drafting pitchers really. Like I said, he just took Harris. Also I don't see what's so special about the Jesus kid....Castro will probably be a wilson alvarez.....I don't see Hoffman as a Syndergard though.

They're only 7 back right? Not insurmountable. But yes, they're probably charging towards a wild card spot.

And if that's the case, I'd want them to spend whatever necessary to get Price just for that one game.
