Doesn't look like any of Hoffman, Norris or Sanchez....
Also, looks like Jays got back $6mill as well - prelude to the next deal?

Castro going to the Rockies...hopefully nothing else significant (prospect wise)

It's Debbie Downer time. Jays could've had Tulowitzki, but instead drafted Romero.

Oh I forgot, great trade AA. Dump two prospects for a position we don't need.

It's not like you could've traded those prospects for say Mat Latos or any SP.

Hawkins, meanwhile, is in the final season of his 21-year-old career. The 442-year-old right-hander owns a 3.63 ERA with 20 strikeouts in 22 1/3 innings.

Weird Jays trade. looks like a win for the jays. Hoffman is tough to give up, but done bit of reading on him the last month...I am fine moving him.

I read they offered Norris, Hoffman and Pompey or Carasco

AA doesnt want rentals for prospects we can see

Well yeah, I meant similar. They're both making 20-22 mil for next several years. It's not like the jays added 20mil in salary and don't have any room left.

Lamoriello's mark will be the doors he opens for Dubas and Hunter, his mark will be in the contacts he shares, his mark will be in the guidance he shows, I doubt Lamoriello will be coming in to make player moves per se but instead is coming in to assist the GM of the future in the ways of the NHL and to introduce him to the Old Boy's Club. Lamoriello is Toronto's Scotty Bowman, an advisor to help transition a rookie GM.

Wouldn't shocked if during his three years he tries to build from the net out. I also get the feeling he isn't into goalie drama so I wouldn't be shocked if he tried to find a 1 and 2 goalie ( no 1a and 1b ). I think with both babs and Lou there is a good chance Dion stays for a while.

Well he definitely has more say they he did as president in nj or he wouldn't have left. It's been reported a big reason he left was he was having trouble adjusting to having so little say. If his input doesn't matter here then he would of just stayed in nj. I think for the most part it will be Lou telling hunter and dubas what he wants and they find the right players for what he is looking for. If they don't pick up how things are done then it's like Lou said that is there fault.

huh, Hoffman is included

alos, if Lou is such a good GM and the Leafs play in the same conference as the Devils and already has a huge staff in place, why does he need to evaluate the players? I could see him wanting to see Lupul play because he probably hasnt and wont but it dosnt make that much sense
