Nylander can go to AHL, while it's OHL or NHL for Marner.
I understand there needs to be an agreement on drafted players OHL and eligibility for AHL, but for the players and NHL (and I belief as well for OHL) it would be best if there was an exception to the rule (e.g. top 15 drafted players can directly play in AHL season after being drafted). Marner, Strome should be in AHL and not in OHL this coming season.

Let's see how Marner does in camp before ruling him out. I mean I agree he shouldn't be on this team, but we don't exactly have any experience whatsoever with top 5 forward picks, or a guy who scored 40 plus goals and 120 points as a 17 yo junior. I trust Babcock will do what is best for him.

I agree, but as an example, Sean Monahan making the flames. If the kid is really good, then he'll make the team. It comes down to if he's ready and his play on the ice will dictate that.

+ it's not that far fetched that Marner would make the team; in the last 5 years, there have been 16 18-year old rookies. Now that includes as well those guys that play 1-9 games and then are sent down again (OHL is an option there still I assume?).

If there's a scenario that i don't see happening, is that Marner would get a 'chance' to play 9 games and then will be sent down; don't think that's what Leafs plan to do with their prospects. Marner needs to earn his spot on the team in preseason, but if he's there for game 1, I believe Leafs will keep him on the team for sure.

Marner playing for the leafs next season is very slim

Nylander is more likely..he had a great season and if he tears up the AHL, and there is a good chance he does.. it might be better for his development to move him up at some point in the season
