Really leaves no room for a prospect to impress. I wonder if Sweeney is regretting his McQuaid signing, realizing that he's the only real expendable defenseman on the team. Miller, Trotman, Morrow, C. Miller, are all close to lateral movements, if not better. I like Mcquaid but K. Miller could have done just as well much less money.

Stuck with Chara and Seids, though it's not really a bad thing. And Krug needs to prove himself as more than a PP specialist, but we have to be able to fall back on sheltering him if he is a liability still this year.

If Sweens can get him at that price I am all for it... assume he wants more but I would jump at that deal in a second

the guy has said multiple times he loves toronto and would welcome a return. I believe he said something along those lines just a few days ago.
He wants 5+, or somewhere close to 5 on a long term deal. I dont see him signing for 3.66 in beantown

Still too much for him. Bottom pairing guy who puts up points on the power play. But can't be counted on to hold the point well enough to be on the top unit.

When a reporter asks would you be open about returning, of course they are going to say yes, they are not going to limit themselves or portray themselves in a bad light to the media. He wasn't going to say no way (frank) that town
