I have a very, very vague recollection of the second Cup parade, but the first real memory I have is my first game. Flyers beat the Atlanta Flames 7-4. I remember Saleski scored late in the game and my dad had me screaming "Go Big Bird!!"

The Leafs New GM was the guy who decided to pay Travis Zajac, Patrick Elias, Mike Cammalleri, Ryane Clowe, Adam Henrique & Dainius Zubrus $28.2mm next season

So Luke Schenn should be paid 1.1M a year?
- MJL

He's not anything but that. So why would you pay more?

I'm guessing we are talking about where amac is ranked in the league as far as cap hits go? I think he's a little high, but there are a lot of younger better players under him that will get big raises soon and in the next year or two he will probably just continue to drop as far as cap hit rankings go.

Lots of thoughts, I've discussed Luke Schenn and what I think if him as a player many times, including today in this thread.

All true, but there really wasn't a discussion on it. The intent of the post wasn't to actually discuss MacDonald, including the few follow ups, from the usual suspects.

If we're comparing Andrew MacDonald and Luke Schenn purely based on this padt season, Luke Schenn should come up smelling like a rose.

Yes. Nothing in there suggests that's he's not what I believe he is. A grossly overpaid 6/7 dman

"The fact that Schenn can do the unglamorous and not necessarily Corsi/Fenwick friendly dirty work in the trenches but he also finished on the positive end of the shot differential ledger when on the ice is commendable. It suggests he that he an asset no matter how his role as a defensive defenseman was viewed. "

"Contrary to what some have said, the Flyers would have no problem trading Luke Schenn if they feel the need to do so. He does enough things well to be a top six defenseman in the NHL, and is still just 25 years old with nearly 500 games on his NHL resume"

We haven't reached the bargain bin in UFA yet. Let's see the deals some of these guys get signed to before we generalize his trade value.

Nil grossman got traded for a guy the team was rumored to be buying out and a 4th rounder. Whhhhhooooooaaaaa

When seabrook wasn't out on the ice. Who did Chicago have to do their "trenchwork"?

Oduya but he took a beating and was hobbled by the end of the playoff.
