I'd be curious what JVR''s even strength TOI and PP TOI stats are. Not sure he was given every opportunity in philly. But those stats are hideous when compared to air guitar stafford.

They love the "you guys overvalue your prospects" bit and then immediately after we trade them "i can't believe you guys gave up on him!"

It just seems like the vitriol has increased lately. Gagner could be if he played for a good team but then again, what if Ennis were on a good team? How much better would he be? I think Ennis is the Eric Moulds of the Sabres.

Could you imagine if Moulds played for the 49ers? Steve Young and to a much lesser extent Jeff Garcia when he was good? I mean he was a 100 1,000 guy with Drew Freakin Bledsoe. He could've been an all-time great. He missed 6 games in a 12 year career.

I've noticed that some Oilers fans on this board hate the Sabres all of a sudden. Maybe hate isn't the right word, but they think they're going to be great this year, or at least, head and shoulders above the Sabres, and that the Sabres have the worst blue line ever.

You won't hear me singing the praises of the Sabres blue line, but that's a bit of the pot calling the kettle black, no? With all due respect to Sekera-who I really like- when he's your best defensemen. Yikes. Goalies are the same thing. 2 totally unproven, but potential laden guys, but because Cam Talbot had a very good 2 months on an incredible team he's the second coming of Patrick Roy. And Lehner who had a middling season for a, let's face it, a bad team pre all-star break he must be the next Rick DiPietro.

I'm not sure if it's the McDavid effect or what. But I've always thought Buffalo and Edmonton were kindred spirits of a sort. Underrated, hockey-mad cities that everyone loves to bash.

They deal with a Sabres troll all the time (never posts in this blog so he could just be some Leafs/Flames alt).

I post a lot in the Oilers thread since the there is a bunch of us who live in Calgary, but that Sabres guy Hanleyaj or whatever it is, he comes in there and just talks non stop smack on the days he shows up. He starts up the player comparison agreements all the time and probably for some of the non oiler regulars, they see that and start to get into Sabre player wars

Yep... That piece of poop always starts crap in there. I'll go out on a limb and say he's not actually a Sabres fan, just someone starting poop. There's a lot of that going on in this poopty website.

I surf casually out here in california and i've heard all kids of stories. I have a friend who was born and raised here and is a life long surfer and he has never seen a shark in his life. I have another friend who was born and raised in Detroit and he witnessed the largest shark attack in local history that a person survived. Its kind of like getting struck by lightning and the last thing you want to do is think about sharks when you're out there.

Eichel has quite the shot, so I could see him on the point
And Reinhart passes & sees the ice exceptionally, so he could make sense there as well

It'll def be interesting to see what thy do

A big reason I don't see them making the playoffs like u think could happen...
Is that Bylsma is gonna have to spend a good chunk of the season putting guys in different spots & seeing what works, what doesn't, who gels w who, etc
