Gudbranson has improved, he just has a temper. Still someone every team wants; gigantic shut down guy who will (frank) your opponent up. We also have Brian Campbell, Dmitri Kulikov, and Willie Mitchell. You'll also hear the name Alex Petrovic a lot coming up as he is our next in line. I don't think your team is bad at all.

I like gudbranson for his fighting our d group is soft lol no real grit back there and I think I already do like petrovic, did he try to fight kadri and get jumped by Mark Fraser ? If so I do I remember the play and thinking kadri needed to be taught a lesson. I'd love nothing more then to watch someone kick the crap out of kadri lol

I'm cautiously optimistic on Zacha. I don't think he'll be as good as say Toews, but you never know. I think he'll settle somewhere between a Backes and Kopitar.. 2 very different players, but you get my point. Big strong guy that's not overly dynamic, but has good vision and an above average shot. That's my hope with him. I haven't watched him outside of highlight vids, but that's what I've gathered from those clips and what others have said. Thinking he plays in Albany this year after a 9 game stint. Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Hopefully he tears it up there. He even said camp has been another level for him (or something to the effect that made me think the AHL would be a step up) so imagine what the NHL would be like? Adjust and learn in the A, and we'll see him next year.

I think that rule is stupid myself as the AHL seems like a natural middle step between the two 18 or not. Maybe they are scared to have one of the young stars killed by some nucklehead like Cam Jansen.

Looks like Boucher is in good shape this year. He looks much thinner. Somewhere I read he had fallen into bad eating habits last year and that is why the cooking class (though not the fan favorite camp activity) was a good thing for the rookies to have. Makes sense I am 36 years old and eat crappy foods because I am often to lazy to spend all the time and effort to make a proper meal. A few beers and whatever makes a turd the next day is usually ok with me.

He can't. If he stayed in the Czech league, Devils would have full control over his development. But now you're right it's Sarnnia or New Jersey.

No, the CHL doesn't want to lose all it's best players so they don't have a transfer agreement with the AHL like they do with the NHL
