I wouldn't say he is superior to Drouin. They are both great prospects and have different strengths over each other but I wouldn't call one better than the other...

I would. Strome is going to be Joe Thornton. A dominant centre.

I think the whole deal of "rushing" a player and ruining his development is because of the kid being in the wrong situations. The coach cant make him the focus of the team but also cant give him 4th like minutes. If you play him in the right minutes, (meaning every PP and some PK) his play will dictate what the coach does.

But I agree with him not being sent back, how do you follow up a 129pt season, maybe 135? Great on paper but did it do anything for his development?

In the NHL, he'd have the best trainers and workout regime which will NEVER hurt a young kid. Pack on that muscle and enjoy a great career.

Not only that, but people underestimate how great it is for a kid to be exposed to the pro life, to be hanging out with Shane Doan, to be personally coached by Dave Tippet, and everyone always says go back to junior, learn to be a leader.... but he's already the #3 pick, the star player, people treat him like the coolest guy already, it would be way better to be on a team where you're witnessing how professionals act, not being the coolest kid in the dressing room.

Finally, if you look at the bottom six competition the Coyotes will have, Strome would play in a scoring role, so getting six mins a night is no worry.

Draisaitl is projected to be Joe Thornton as well. But Strome is still better right?

Ok, but now you're being the homer as much as an Oiler fan professing absolute certainty in leon.

Pure speculation, and I doubt you'd have this opinion if he wasn't a Coyote garth, I mean James.

both are elite prospects. However many would agree Strome is superior. Everyone in the 2015 draft would of been drafted higher in previous drafts. And its not like Leon has proved to be ant better since he was drafted.
