Maybe Murray is concerned about Gorges health and that's why he signed Donovan and Coliacovo and went after Oduya and Franson. Just a hunch. We don't know if Gorges will be ready.

I wouldn't mind trading for a guy like Hamhuis.. he is a UFA after this season.. Couver is rebuilding and he has a bigger contract. Wouldn't take very much to get him. He is a guy that knows his game and is a vet back there. Same kind of numbers in Couver as he had in NSH.

I'd imagine that maybe Foligno and a pick would get it done easily. Couver has to be gunning for picks right now and they can't expect a ton for a 32 year old 1 year rental.

I think there are a lot of LHD that we can get either now or closer to camp. There's a number of teams that have 7 or 8 defenceman on their roster and have little cap space. As long as Murray doesn't go after anyone to unattainable we shouldn't have to give up too much to get one of these guys. Preferably one with one or two years left on his deal.

Detroit was brought up earlier. I think Quincey is a good target. One year left on his deal, 31 years old, and is a lefty.

That's what i heard, it's not an unprecedented asking price and history would tell you that someone will eventually pay that or close to it.
