Nill has done an excellent job no doubt.

People give Bergevin too much credit for the turn around after drafting Galchenyuk. The years before that they were making the playoffs.

Not to mention Bergevin hasn't really brought in anybody of significance and kept them aside from Petry. He did lock up Pacioretty to one of the best contracts in the league though. Plus they have Subban locked up for his prime years.

But his failure to address the lack of scoring after 3 years is getting old. He still has time I agree, but what is he waiting for? Scoring should have been addressed last year.

it's becasue he doesn't have a choice. It's not like he's got the likes of Andrighetto and Hudon waiting in the minors.

he HAS to go outside for help.

take a look at the talent he's brought in through 2 years versus the talent he has shipped out. he just added Sharp and a solid prospect for Trevor Daley and Ryan Garbutt. Daley left a hole? signed Oduya. Lehtonen was horrendous this year? he brings in Niemi. he sees a problem and he addresses it. if you think missing the playoffs last year was indictment of the work he's done there you're nuts, because it's like giving Bergevin credit for Montreal constantly making the playoffs.

I'm getting very annoyed with Bergevin.

Can't wait for the season to start and people start blaming Therrien for the lack of scoring.

add to that the hiring of Stéphane Waite. Really helped Price become the goalie he is today.

He did make a move for Vanek. Did not work out in the playoffs.

really? because the team won more playoff games than any season since their last Cup and Vanek was one of the team's highest scorers through the first 2 rounds. he was terrible during the NY series but he had lots of company. when Vanek was here he gave this team some nice balance up front. it was a move that worked out very well and should have been the impetus for Bergevin to find a replacement for him.
