I know I may be asking for too much, but I really think a 3rd line, in the NHL, in 2015, needs to produce more than what we've seen with Eller centering that line. |

Maybe that's the case if you don't have your hands full trying to get production from your first two lines. |

That's fair. The top 6 isn't awful, they just need to take care of the weeds. |

I'm saying he's already better than Eller in several facets of the game. I'm not going to suggest he's going to be any help offensively, but I'm fine with him taking over for Eller if neither of them are going to do anything in that regard - ehabs9
personally i want to see if DLR has a bit more offence in his game first. good teams need more than just defence from a third line. they need to chip in offensively a bit as well. that's the part of his game i doubt. |

Seems that it doesn't really matter in Plekanec's case. |

I can't argue with you there. I just figure at 19 at least there's the possibility it'll get better, no one can convince me there's still hope for improvement where Eller's concerned. |

the top 6 is a huge problem. and by top 6, i mean David Desharnais as your top center. as long as that remains the case, this team isn't a real threat. you cannot afford to go into the playoffs knowing your first line is going to produce nothing. |

I could see him and Galchenyuk having a good season with each 20-25 goals and about 60 pts.
Is that unreasonable? |

Well Plek does it, so not on his count. But Galchenyuk would need big strides for that. |

I don,t know... 14 pts over 82 games. It's not major. Not at his age anyway. |
