Which is sad, some of the Oiler fans that come here on occasion are actually pretty cool people.

Ya it sounded like there were some decent people. Rare it seems but some.

Boy today I actually wanna go back to the hamburger recipes topic that I suffered through last week just to get away from the current

Some of you guys are really cool, like Yeti and a couple other regulars that some time split between your forum and here.

I disagree about yeti.

Unfortunately he'll probably just get another account and be back.

Can you imagine what it must be like to be oriented like that? Some serious issues there wow. Must live in newton area and be a crackhead. Makes you wonder on his age too. 8-9 maybe?

This is a good community of people on here. We usually arent belligerent to each other here.

Anyone who knows anything about Surrey knows the crack heads live in Whalley... and harass and rob people around Surrey central sky train station...

Zogg, what do you think will be the youngsters who make the team? Its clear space is being left for them. Sven is a lock. JV likely too but grenier is another option.

Pretty sure corrado is a lock on D. Clendening right there too, but honestly pedan looks amazing.

Like to hear your input.

No, it used to be that way several years back. Its moved to newton years ago. The moved cop shop to whalley when they put up the university at surrey central and now city hall. They shipped that crowd out several years ago to protect the university. Newton is the crap area now.

Remember the hockey mom who died from purse snatching? That was newton wave pool byt a drug crazed user.

As you noted, I think Sven is pretty much locked in for a top 6 role (he's really been praised for his improvement by management - in particular Travis Green has been complimentary about his development, which is great to hear.

I have to say I'm not overly bullish with respect to the other youngsters, however (that is, with respect to them making the line-up this coming year, even though I believe they are quality prospects nonetheless) I think Virtanen gets a 9 game look but is ultimately returned to junior. The same goes for McCan, although he might just be sent to junior without getting his cup of coffee with the Canucks.

I'd also say Corrado and Clendening make the jump as well. Although not sure what the salary cap implications are (I believe they are on one way contracts?). Other than that, I'm not sure anyone else makes the line-up in October. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact these youngsters are in the pipeline, it's just that I don't think they're quite ready to be put in the fire.

If Pedan can make the team, it would be a nice surprise (the same goes with Grenier) but again, not sure if they are ready for grind of the big leagues yet.

What are your thoughts on McCan and Shinkaruk, Gaunce and Jensen et al? (Shinkaruk is another body that needs seasoning at the AHL level, but I like his long term outlook). Gaunce is a bit of an enigma but I feel he's made some positive strides, the same goes for Jensen, who showed some real promise in the playoffs this year (although he is an over-ager, as has been noted). All in all, it's nice to see the Canucks have quite a few options in terms of injecting some youth.

I think the only players from Utica/Junior that will make the team out of the gate in training camp is Baertschi. Cassels has a chance depending on if he can recover from his injury. JV won't make it out of camp but might in his 9 game tryout. Gaunce or Grenier is the 13th forward. Clendenning and Corrado are the 7-8 D-men respectively

I've been hearing the same meow rhetoric about how great the Oilers prospects are for five years, and every year they end up in last or near last place. Will they be better this year? They should be, but how much better is the real question.

With benning carrying 8 defence like he wants to, the left will look like Edler Hamhuis Sbisa Bartowski and the right Tanev Weber Corrado Clendening. I could see Pedan getting brought of if JB is selling his UFA hamhuis bart and weber.

Jensen I believe has bolted for europe. Mccann looks like hes talented but needs time in ahl. Shinkaruk I doesn't llok like are in management plans as hes constantly on trade block. For this reason I dont see him on the team despite his talent.
Gaunce looks good but hes been slow developing. Kinda lost faith.
Canucks have room for 2 maybe 3. Sven for sure.
Id say JV makes it based on jb comments about him being ready and they expect him to make the team blah blah. Jb makes his feeling come to be so expect jv in lineup. Also them moved our 2 biggest players body wise so we need size n toughness. I believe they did it to make room for other big bodies. Which means jv and grenier. Given the play of sven and jv together in utica on the same line I think theyll be paired together, so 3rd line.....seeing our 3rd line got moved this year. Just makes sense.
Grenier is very promising and could be up as extra

Sounds pretyy unanimous that corrado and clendening make the team as 7-8. But I think corrado goes and moves up to 4 as hes a R shot and we mainly have L currently.

Cassels needs time. I say its jv or grenier based on jbs comments and our currentnlineup needs which the others dont fill.

No we learned with bieksa never to pair that player with sbisa, somkeep bart away from him. Weber n sbisa good pairing and bart w hammer. Balances R L shots too. Corrado could be in place of bart w hammer too

Sorry I read that incorrectly. Usually people put pairings.

I believe bartkowski is a R shot
So
Edler tanev
Hamius bartowski/ corrado
Sbisa weber

Clendenning

Hey now... no need too label all Oil fans that way. We are not all bad (although we do seem to have our fair share of a$$hats). Hell I was even rooting for you guys in the playoffs last year. And it cost me fifty (frank)ing dollars.
- Wildschwein

Not all of you are dip$hits. Jero and I get along pretty good as well as a few others. I was just playing his game. If you have a legit issue to debate I'm cool if you disagree at least you came with a legit debate without the name calling and douche baggery.

As a married man of almost 15 year I have had ample opportunity to cheat as I have worked out of town pretty much the whole time. Never have I done it. If she was going to cheat there are issues in their marriage. Not your problem. The married man in me says good job. The single guy in me says something else unless he was a personal friend of yours then you did the right thing.
