I'm shocked Sharp waived to go to the Stars.
- SABRES 89

I think it was a bad trade for the stars

their D took a hit and Garbutt is very under-rated as a third line player and decent on the pk

We could use a guy like J Bo over Oduya IMO, better for PP IMO.
- SABRES 89

nope, move a great third liner and a solid 2/3 d man for a second line player on the decline

unless Stephen Johns becomes that steady stay at home d man that can log 20 plus minutes a night, and if he is then why did the hawks move him?

not a ruff bash, I do not like their team at all aside from the first line now

they moved dillon and now daley

in 12 months they went all in on Klingberg and his 65 games in the NHL

Vancouver Canucks GM Jim Benning revealed that he had the option of trading Ryan Miller instead of Eddie Lack.
"We could have moved Ryan Miller," Benning said during a gathering with season ticket holders. "There were teams calling on Ryan Miller." After saying that he was booed by the crowd, which isn't too surprising because moving Eddie Lack for a third and seventh-round pick was an unpopular move. Some fans likely rationalized it by assuming that trading Miller wasn't an option given his contract, but clearly that's not true. Benning defended his decision by saying that he wanted a veteran goaltender to be paired up with Jacob Markstrom.

A lot of Hawks fans weren't thrilled to let Johns go. I'd never heard of him until tonight but apparently he was an above average prospect.

over-hyped

if he was part of a 2 headed monster, with biron, and they played him in the post season I would have been fine

he would be good in an edwards sauve duo

not a 65 game a year goalie IMO

once a coach commits to riding one goalie, the team is screwed moving forward when his deal runs up in a cap era

Stars retained %50 of Garbutt's salary. 2.7 mil cap relief. I think this move is a precursor to something else
