13-14 is just barely missing the playoffs by a few games. I dont think Murray intends on being a top 10 drafting team, unless he's winning the new lottery rules.

Underestimating how much support the forwards, specifically ROR, Kane, Girgensons, Larsson, will bring for the defense. I understand setting the expectations low. But people are underestimating our group.

We dont necessarily have to find another elite player for the top 4. We just need to find partner that will compliment Risto and Bogo (I really hope Bylsma doesnt move Risto to the left side).

We need to find Bogo's Stralman, or Risto's Martinez. Those arent elite high end top 4 players. More like average.

Understood. My concerns are that we don't know how Lehner will perform, have 3 vet d men that have injury history (Bogo, Gorges and Carlo) and the rest of the D is young and unpredictable.

Looking at the rest of the NHL I see us picking anywhere from 6-10. If we get a real solid dman to pair with Risto, I'll be much more confident. We have the horses up front to score goals, it's the back end that worries me.

It may take some time for all of these new pieces to get settled in.
Buffalo added 6 new forwards. It may take a bit for that to settle in.

Agreed. there are way too many question marks right now the defense and the forwards are going to get enough chemistry to explode goaltending its going to be a fun team to watch but there's a lot of question marks

It's amazing how 3 lbs of muscle makes or breaks a kid's readiness. Reinhart and Girgensens are both 6'1", but Reinhart is 187 and Girgensens is 190 and yet one is described as not being ready yet to handle a full season and the other is described as having a "man's body."

Way too early to tell and none of those two played a full season.

lets see how Bennett does in a full year before this gets brought up.

Even with acquiring ROR I still think the plan is for Eichel to be 1C and Reinhart to be 2C.

Which is a HUGE question mark...

And we get another top4 defenseman,
Without creating another hole somewhere...

We still have to realize how YOUNG this team is
And with youth, comes INCONSISTENCY

TALENT doesn't necessarily equal WINS
these KIDS need to learn how to become pros

I think too many ppl are expecting big results too soon
Gotta give all these kids a chance to develop still

If not, I'd like to at least see him sign an Ellis-type deal in Rochester. He'd be another strong role model for the kids.
