I'm not sure if teams who may be vying for Sharp would look at 3 Russians on cheap 1 year deals if SB doesn't decrease his asking price

It's possible. I wouldn't want THAT to happen, but it could be a possibility.

Fortunately, we are not to the point where that's a real concern. Yet.

They negotiated a No Movement Clause, not a "request an extension or request a future trade if the panthers aren't good" Clause....just saying. If JJ's reported demands are valid, very disapointing as a Sharp Fan. Not to mention cripling to StanBo's negotiating position....
- EnzoD

Sharp can veto any trade for any reason. It's his right based on an agreed upon contract both he and the Hawks signed.

Beezer was notorious for not ever signing autographs. You might not believe it but it is very true. One day we were at a practice and back then there was just a metal guard rail separating the fans and players; wasn't even a guard or any other type of security personnel. Guy has his kids with him who have Beezer stuff to get signed (this was after practice was over). So he starts going "hey John will you sign? Come sign for the kids, please!!" Beezer just went to his car. So the guy then shouted some.. not so nice.. things. My uncle was just standing there because there were other players walking out and we had other things to get signed, and Beezer FLIES around the barricade, tire screeching, stops his car and says "it's a**holes like you that make us never wanna sign!" Missed my uncle by about 3 inches.

Honest to God true story.

Wow. Beezer could have been in trouble there. I didn't know he was notorious for not signing autographs...You just killed the 10 year-old me. Haha. Just joking. But what was it like growing up as a hockey fan in a non-traditional market, as well as, being older now and still a fan? I bet it's sweet. Tickets are probably great prices and it's still a niche thing down there, I would imagine.

This is all true. And this is crippling to StanBo's negotiating position. Does Sharp want the return on his trade to be as low as possible? Does he want to hurt the Hawks for choosing him as the Cap-Scapegoat?? If Florida isnt on his list of teams then IDK who is...

Bowman was the one who agreed to give Sharp a limited NTC, right?

Seabrook for a kings ransom
- SaskHawkFan

I'd say you're crazy, but then again I would have said the same thing about Saad.

In theory, if you could get a Saad like return would you do it? Especially since he'll probably cost north of 7 to keep next year for 5+ years.

Kane, Toews, Hossa, Keith, Hammer can't go anywhere. After that, Saad, Seabrook, and Crow are the only ones that have any trade value.

Hurts to even think about, but desperate times...

Are you sure about that? Does the CBA have that written in it's language? I thought players had to give a list of 10 teams, and based on those teams trades can be made. Now, if Fla is not one of the 10 teams, then he has a right to veto. If Fla was on the list, and he has "extra" demands, then shame on him. I hope Rocky takes action against him.

If Radulov comes back over, I'd think it would most likely be to play for Roy given their history

Semin I still see landing in PIT with Rutherford giving him a one year deal to help try to win games 6-5

He most certainly did. Sharp earned his NTC, but these "terms and conditions" go well beyond that limited NTC, IMO.

If sharp wont go to any of the teams that are offering and Stan is in that much trouble. They could wave Sharp and see if a team picks him up and his contract. If not you can always bring him back. As a matter of fact it could be done with Bickell. Only save cap if someone grabs him.

But do you think a player wants to be waved or rather be traded?

I don't blame Sharp in this, I blame Stan for agreeing to it, and far too often.

If I'm Sharp, I'm not doing anyone any favors. I'm going where I want to go.

At what point does (or did he already) McD step in and stress the sense of urgency? Understood there was a moment of "urgency" leading into the TDL this past season.

Kessel and Semin should attend a mandatory Training Camp classroom session titled: Back-Checking 101

EDIT: Back-Checking 101 consists of 90 minutes of Marian Hossa game footage

Word on the Sharp deal is that terms between the Cats and Hawks were agreed on but a player condition to waive NTC yet to be approved by FLA

The Hawks difficulty in moving him or what they get in return for him are not Sharp's concerns. Sharp wants to go to a team that meet his criteria. Are you suggesting it's Sharp's responsibility to accomodate the Blackhawks and accept a trade where he doesn't want to play? If so, I'd love to have business dealings with you, I'd take everything you have so you can make me happy.
