Maybe more money and fewer games.

I would go play in hockey in Sweden. Hell, I'd do a lot of stuff in Sweden. Seriously assume my Viking heritage.

OK, and so he takes a $500 K cut to play at home because he doesn't want to play in another country for less than market value. Possible, certainly. Will he, I don't know. He would be one of the best players in the SEL.

And the point is, playing in Sweden is an option for him if he chooses. You tried to make Sweden sound like Kazakhstan. Ummm, not quite.

ayone have any insight on how sweden taxes? could be huge imho

Sounds like the KHL is on life support. Some of these guys just want to be paid next year. Maybe they gave Tikhonov a similar opt out to Panarin but I doubt they would guarantee anyone a spot.
- tredbrta

Hopefully he is good enough to earn a spot in the bottom 6. 6'2" and his scouting report says he plays a very responsible 2-way game. His family is hockey royalty and his grandfather is a huge influence on him from a few videos I've seen. That leads me to believe he has been very well coached his entire life. I expect Q to find a place for him in the bottom six....was his contract one-way or two-way?

No, at least a dozen years old. It was a movie about bowling so not many people saw it the first time.

It's rumored that it's being re-envisioned by Steven Spielberg...D5!

The original was released in '98 and the mere idea of remaking Big Lebowski depresses me...say it ain't so.

Sweden is a beautiful country filled with great people that have a love of hockey. But it's also a country with an income tax rate over 50%.

But he would unquestionably be the best player in the league. When Jeff Taffe is top 5 in scoring, your league is not so good.

Dude The Big Lebowski is a great movie - if you seriously have no clue about it, you need to watch it.

Yes they are! They are pretty nice in here Finland too..but seriously don´t think that Kruger´s option is playing in Sweden at all right now. Teams are pretty much set for next season and don´t think Djugården have that kind of money to bring Kruger back. Maybe for few games but hole season..don´t think so. Maybe some KHL team could try to land him though..
