No, it's not better money if Djurgardens chooses to pay him $1.5 million or more, is it?
You're logic doesn't connect. - John Jaeckel
There is no way he gets 1.5 million to play in sweden. its unfortunate that the leagues don't post there salaray data but it seems the average is around 200,000. its not like Kruger is Ilya Kovalchuk going home to the KHL. |

I don't know if they want him or not, I would suspect they'd love to have him. And they might be willing to pay him enough for him to do it. - John Jaeckel

10x that is 2 mil not 1.5 mil. unless they do fishy stuff with THEIR exchange rate. |

$1.35 million would make him the highest paid player in the SEL. By a lot. |

No, at least a dozen years old. It was a movie about bowling so not many people saw it the first time.
It's rumored that it's being re-envisioned by Steven Spielberg...D5! |

You aren't fooling anybody...we all know you have a massive Claude Giroux poster on the wall and have some old Mark Recchi or John Leclair autographed items in your trophy room. I'm glad you are enjoying yourself today on a blog with a boatload of OBSESSED Blackhawk fanatics. But, your Hawks fan BS isnt fooling anyone. |

Your guess is as good as anyones at this point...ANDDD now we wait....JJ or others, any insight into the Hawk's plans for Tikhonov. I have to believe he wouldnt of come over if not guaranteed an NHL roster spot. I know he plays both C & W, but what is his best position? - EnzoD
Sounds like the KHL is on life support. Some of these guys just want to be paid next year. Maybe they gave Tikhonov a similar opt out to Panarin but I doubt they would guarantee anyone a spot. |

OK, and so he takes a $500 K cut to play at home because he doesn't want to play in another country for less than market value. Possible, certainly. Will he, I don't know. He would be one of the best players in the SEL.
And the point is, playing in Sweden is an option for him if he chooses. You tried to make Sweden sound like Kazakhstan. Ummm, not quite. |

Because he lives in Stockholm, and it is quite possible he would make better money in the SEL than he would at the level of his qualifying offer.
I mean if the Hawks don't sign him and Djurgardens wants him, they pay him, he goes. - John Jaeckel
Maybe more money and fewer games.
