Yes, although we gave RangerDanger94 and exemption for blessing us with his "Best Team Ever" flow chart.

That was GOLD! I need to go back and find that. If someone has it saved and wants to post it even better!

with (reportedly) Florida out of the equation, I expect a long quiet this summer before the training camp salary-dump storm.....
- EnzoD

I hope not, that would mean Oduya and Kruger are gone.

True Grit's avi says Chicago Blackhawks under it. Do you honestly believe he's a Hawk fan?

You'd have $7M to work with but you'd lose every bit of little leverage you had. If you are $7M over the cap then you are going to screwed in every which way possible. That's why, even if you can go over the cap, you aren't seeing Kruger for example get signed. He could conceivably be signed today for 2M (as an example) and it would be within the rules. But now the Hawks must shed salary and everyone would know that.

Technically speaking you could build a compliant roster today that's under the cap. The minute that situation changes you are in trouble.

That's why Sharp is the key. Assuming Kruger/Oduya fit in the space voided by Sharp you can build a compliant roster (a non-ideal one but a compliant one). Buys you time to find new homes for Bickell/Versteeg.

Make no mistake I think Bickell and/or Versteeg get traded but there appears to be a very soft market for the two at the moment.

Again, CC could be traded just as easily as Sharp. If Sharps terms are too much for others maybe CC's are less so. Hey maybe we can trade Sharp & CC to Montreal - for Price.

Nurk, thoughts on the JVR for Luke Schenn trade?
- EnzoD

I personally like it. Since that trade my team has won the stanley cup 2 times. Not bad huh....also neither of them will ever win a cup unless they are traded to the blackhawks. Its really unfair to be traded from the Flyers to the Maple Leafs or from the Maple Leafs to the Flyers......because neither has won a cup in the past 40 years.....lol

Nurk we all know you love the Flyers and that was a terrible hockey trade. Luke Schenn looks like a #5 NHL dman and JVR is a #1LW on more than half the teams in the NHL

Call it a hunch........but I'm going to venture to guess that the Hawks move the necessary cap room to sign Oduya and Sharp well ahead of September. Maybe not enough to be cap complaint, that could happen as late as September.....

Kruger is a Blackhawk next season unless he receives an offer sheet.

If he doesn't have offer sheets yet, he could have them in a heartbeat.

As a Hawks fan I certainly hope so....but a lot of people said the same thing about my BOY Saad and now he is gone to suburbia heck where he'll never win a championship again.

IF the Sharp veto rumors are true then StanBo will certainly have to exhaust all possible Crawford trade options. Personally, I hope Stan is working on a time crunch right now to keep Oduya and Kruger in the fold. That would mean a trade in the very near future

If the veto rumors are correct, it's time to start referring to him as "Mats'...
