The math of the wave function collapses to a single output. This requires Fourier Analysis, which is a calculus technique. IN NO WAY SHOULD IT BE CONFUSED WITH THE IDEA THAT MATTER DOES NOT EXIST EXCEPT AS POSSIBILITIES.

I don't mind your New Age stuff… Not a big fan of war… However, DO NOT conflate the two. DO NOT conflate the concept of god with physics either. One of my students thought that the Big Bang proves there's a god. NO. It proves no such thing. It's just the best description of all the astronomical and astrophysical data we've accumulated over the year.

Wow, now I've brought up religion after talking science on a hockey website. So let's also talk politics. Richard Cheney is a butthole!

Besides all the Science + BS talk, have a hunch the Senators will make a late play for Sharp...... I called it 1st

The Hawks rep was very clear that there's not really any movement on the list, so it's impossible to really know how long it will take to get them.

My bet is that the opportunity will present itself during a protracted downturn in the team's fortunes, likely after Kane and Toews are no longer Blackhawks. If we see a five-year rebuilding period like the one the Cubs are coming out of, I suspect that they'll churn through that list. (It'll help if it comes during an economic recession.)

Forgive us in advance for hoping the waiting list keeps growing.

"coming out of"??? Improving from "out of the pennant race in June" to "out of the pennant race in August" doesn't qualify as "coming out of"! the Cubs dont qualify yet as "coming out of" anything. And to further clarify, it's a 107 year (and counting) rebuilding!

That is my plan with my season tickets each year.

The Blues ruin it though with their quick exits.

As long as the Hawks keep making deep runs many season ticket holders can recoup a large amount of their cost by selling some of the playoffs...That keeps basically everyone in the their seats for a long time.
- Al

Basically what the Hawks told me last year -- they'd have to start losing before any tickets will open up.

I posted this before but I'm going to post this again - Stan's main focus should be on cap relief and the main piece he has to move is Sharp. This should have been known weeks ago, and having known that - any and all demands, contingencies, requirements, etc., should have been explored so that it was found out long before July 7th that a trade with Florida was not viable for some reason. If that was just discovered over the past 24 hours, then it is pure and simple incompetence by the Hawks front office. Time spent on other things like extending Anisimov and trading for Liam Coughlin could have been better spent on finding and executing a trade of Sharp. Whoever it is that should have been more on the ball should be held accountable if it ends up costing the Hawks the best chance they have to win again next season which would seem to be to keep their top-4 d-corps in place.

Or maybe I don't understand some nuances or something.

So all this science and physics talk has me wondering what the brainiacs think about space/time bends and if there's anything to time travel ... cuz I was thinking someone could travel back to Game#7 against LA last year and tell Leddy to duck ... then maybe the win this year could have three in a row

I tried this but accidentally wound up in an alternate universe where the Penguins drafted Toews instead of Staal. It wasn't pretty...

I read somewhere earlier on in the year somewhere that the wait-list for season tickets is that of "if you are an adolescent, your grandchildren will have the next opportunity to get them."

So you're saying it's a tougher "get" than tickets to Bozo's Circus back in the day?

Probably this. I seem to think the entire front office making millions upon millions of dollars with countless Hockey professionals, including Scotty Bowman whose name is on the cup about 72 times already, know how to count up to 71.4 million. Im sure they new this was coming for over a year now and are doing their due diligence in order to get the cap under control Im sure they know Sharps hit is 5.9 and he seems to be like the ideal guy to move. Im also sure every other GM knows this. Im also sure Sharps list of teams is most likely top end playoff teams who also don't have much cap space to sign him. This causes the team the necessity first to find a deal then to try to convince Sharp to add the team that offered the deal to his list.

Heres the thing one way or the other the Hawks will be cap compliant at the start of the season and we all will be able to watch Hawk Hockey.

LOL, my parents requested tickets when I was six, I was 14 when they mailed us saying tickets were available. True story.

And that drum with the postcards for the Grand Prize Game- can you imagine how old the ones in the middle were (unless they just emptied it each season).

Such memories

Careful ER you're new on the board and I should warn you if you question anything the Great Stan does (the Stan Bowman Thought Police) will quickly descend...because God forbid we actually question or discuss anything. Stan can do no wrong...

Wouldn't surprise me if the Hawks have given all of the rest of the teams in the league permission to talk to Sharp, Versteeg and Bickell thru their agents.

The housing on the Whitemud Trail in Edmonton would be very affordable for #29 and #23.

Presentlye between Chattanooga and Atlanta.

sooo. the hawks signed yet another player, who fits under the cap, but no subtractions.

I just love it!
