That will be a positive IMO. Entire Morin cap hit goes elsewhere. I think Tropp may be on a 2 way deal though and his hit is $625k.

This probably the most Tropp will be spoke about in his whole career. He was in the deal to dazzle the masses, like Morin. Its so SB can say.."look at how much I got for Saad". He is an AHL player. The guy wasn't good enough to play on a crappy Sabres' team. CLB picked him up because they were desperate for bodies.

You are right on #4

Most likely, Sharp wanted assurances that, if FLA were not solidly in the playoff picture at the trade deadline, that he would be moved to a contender.

Would that be called a "conditional Must-Trade Clause"?

I believe this explanation is correct. That is why u see bonus figures posted to the next season on NHL cap sites.

I'm not even sure it was that. He may legitimately have just been looking for Rockford bodies. Anisimov and Dano should be enough return on Saad, especially if Dano lives up to predictions.

Source: "Absolutely no truth" re @10PSharp using NTC to nix trade to Florida or that anything's close. Fla/Chi haven't talked in 2-3 wks.

I think it's time we move on from the Florida rumors and stop criticizing Sharp for things that he likely didn't do.

Morin was popular in Rockford. I believe the all time IceHogs point scorer IIRC? Or maybe it was goals?

What!? I'm getting a bad feeling that Stan and McD and others in the hallowed halls are having fun tweaking all us crazed fans. Like they're sitting around and laughing at what bogus rumor they can leak then they go read the message boards and bust a gut laughing.

Obviously FLA WOULD BE INTERESTED in Patrick Sharp if they could secure him for what they thought was fair, so to say that the Panthers are not interested is ridiculous. Dale Tallon secured Sharp from Philly in a trade and knows full well what Sharp would bring to any team! If George Richards got this answer from the Panther's front office, then they told him what they wanted out in the media. Which makes sense for a team deep into negotiations for Sharp, or a team that is NO LONGER in negotiations for Sharp.

Huh? I think you're blending Young's double slit experiment with Schrödinger's cat and Quantum entanglement. Especially considering Young's experiment was like a century before Einstein was even born...

The double slit experiment shows that light behaves both as a wave and a particle, which Einstein expanded upon a little via the photoelectric effect (his first Nobel prize if I recall). Schrödinger's cat refers to the observable universe in that we cannot make assumptions or predictions about things we cannot measure, and that we are unable to measure things with any certainty. Richard Feynman's works go even further, stating that there is randomness in the universe that cannot be overcome, and that you can only predict quantum behavior in probabilities, not in certainties.

Also, while there may in fact be thousands of documentaries out there on the subject, What The Bleep Do We Know? and its sequels are NOT accurate resources in any sense of the word, and the physics (and metaphysics) they propose in it are dubious at best.

You would do well to check your own facts before calling out others, especially with such vehemence.

- Sandus

I am not sure how much of what you wrote/copied you understand, but what you are attempting to "argue", I think, is that I was insinuating that Einstein is the father of Quantum physics? Is that it? That's not what I said or inferred. Einstein was mentioned because he demonstrated the essence of the scientific method! Which is if you posit a notion that is accepted as "truth" (his theory of relativity for example) and if it is then found to be inaccurate or not holistic, you laud those who discovered its limitations or errors and seek to find new answers. This is what Einstein did and it demonstrated his character, integrity and brilliance.

Now for the Double Slit experiment, all matter is nothing more, ultimately, than photons of light, however, in many of its recreations (if you want to observe it from the physical world) actual physical materials were used as well to prove the point, which you don't seem to understand. Yes, the solid materials used responded both as a solid substance and infinite waves of possibilities, but that is THE ESSENCE of the experiment, that EVERY TIME you observe the particles, they act as a solid matter. However, EVERY TIME you do NOT observe the particles they act as infinite waves of possibilities and thus cannot be solid! That is what matters...and this is what Dr. Schrodinger was basing his theories of predictability on! The same goes for Dr. Feyman's studies and comments as well relating to the Unified field. The universe IS random because all matter is not solid, rather waves of infinite possibilities which exist in a two-dimensional unified field of sorts where everything that has or can happen already exists in one moment. You can't attempt to "speak" for either Schrodinger or Feyman by randomly copying and pasting their assertions from Wikipedia. If you actually wish to engage in a proper conversation about Quantum Physics and the importance to humanity of the double slit experiment, please private message me and we can continue. Beyond Hawk's hockey, it is my passion.

As for Down the Rabbit Hole and What the Bleep Do We Know? They are ABSOLUTELY incredible resources from which to start! They are brilliant, interesting, funny, poignant, ACCURATE and insightful because they speculate beyond simply the bonds of purely science and into the metaphysical or what some would call the spiritual, which most Quantum Physicists today believe is where the next step of answers lie...and after that message from the universal scientific community, now back to hockey!

JJ--There has been a lot of news coming in that FLA has moved on due to Sharp's no trade demands.

Any insight as to what the heck the demand could have been? I know it was rumored he wanted a long-term signing right away, which I don't think FLA would have been afraid to do. It just seems odd.

- Hank3Henshaw

He wanted an assurance they would deal him (North) if they weren't competitive (i.e. fairly well positioned for the playoffs) by the trade deadline.

Really, without? I would think management would LOVE to get free fan input on potential deals, signings, etc. Imagine if they thought:

What could we get for Patrick Kane? Oh, Players X, Y, and Z? Let's see what a sample of our paying customers think.

I think that would be invaluable information and would somewhat impact their decision.
