Based on ROR getting $7.5M, Tarasenko for the same AAV is a good deal for the Blues. Elite scorer who will be great for them for a long time ... unfortunately.

I just agreed with the market value point... and no one is taking a Kyle Okposo for Sharp straight up proposal seriously. Though I could argue Sharp adds more value than KO to some teams. At one point I though Sharp plus a decent prospect like McNeil would net Reinhardt. All value is relative.

"You" meant much of the fan base. It also appears Garth may have swung a little too much that way (towards prospects) after the Vanek fiasco. Snow has definitely learned from his mistakes and done a great job since Vanek IMO - I admire that about him and Stan. I see the Dano/AA return from CBJ as an example of Stan learning from accepting mainly picks in 2010. I think Garth will move or 2 before long to get the Isles a little more top heavy. Leadership, clutch scoring, maybe a defensive d vet... I also think you will eventually need to upgrade from Halak.

In responce to paulr I touched on one of the issues. Transportation. I have a place in Port Charlotte so Tampa is an easy ride. For the people in Naples one would think there could be a better option than alligator alley. Same goes with South Miami, you are looking at a couple hours in traffic.

Interested teams in Hawk players will start looking at other players to sign or other trade possibilities rather than waiting on Stan Bowman

I'm not so sure about that because the T&K deals were done when the Cap was projecting a lot higher than it was last season and next season. By the 2016/17 season, the Cap will probably be $5M/$6M less than what it was projected to be.

If the T&K deals were done this summer instead of last, they probably sign for less than $10.5M.
