Bickell would be down in the Keys fishing during the day and would wind up in traffic and later for the games.

Tarasenko signs 8yrs $60M.

- RickJ

Makes me wonder what Stamkos will sign for..?

One way deal this time. Guaranteed big leagues.
- JRoenick97

A one way deal means nothing in terms of where he plays. Just how much he gets paid no matter where he plays.

well put.....I'm talking about NON turds in regards to players. I'm sure Bickell would love Florida. he could fish for rainbow bass all day long.
- SteveRain

Thats the problem with Bickell too much thinking of fishing and not playing enough meaningful hockey

>Who's controlling the Sharp trade process? Sharp
>Who is the best player available for Sharp to play with? Tavares (don't think Pens can fit #10 or Hawks take back $)
>Where is Sharp's wife from? East Coast (CT, I believe)
>What team needs a top line finisher? Islanders
>What exciting up and coming team plays in the biggest media market? Islanders
>What team is moving into a new arena and would love to sell the franchise as more than Tavares? Islanders
>Doubt Sharp's deal has anything to do with SBow's trade attempts and everything to do with Sharp outwaiting Stan and forcing the Islander trade

True, but the team is a lot more likely to keep him up if they are shelling out 1 million no matter what.

See.......deep breaths.

Saad for 6 AAV, Taresenko for 7.5 AAV......Stamkos will reach well into double digits.

So the Toews/Kane deals........not too bad 1 year later as expected.

Those greedy jerks.........(red font)........

you do realize that Sharp spent a majority of his season on the 3rd line playing a role he isn't suited for, checking. Which decreased his effectiveness on the score sheet. He sacrificed for the betterment of the team this past season. While I understand you want one down year to justify paying a lower price, look at the facts before you claim he is declining.
- CaptainInsano

That's on the coach, he'd put him there...... not my issue.... so you can spin it anyway u want. Its like me telling you Bailey had 45-50pts which is really good so bc he's 25yrs old, his production will increase if he continues to get time with Tavares (oh btw Bailey sucks )

ive seen posts (previously) including okposo...lets put that to bed.

what do hawks fans realistically want from isles in exchange for a deal including sharp? more specifically which picks, players, and/or prospect/s

EDIT: you also totally ignored my comment about market value (as has everyone else); just because you a car is worth $100k at some point doesnt mean someone will pay $100k for that car after years of use as well as wear and tear, especially if there isnt much demand for it...

- LetsGoIsles

I just agreed with the market value point... and no one is taking a Kyle Okposo for Sharp straight up proposal seriously. Though I could argue Sharp adds more value than KO to some teams. At one point I though Sharp plus a decent prospect like McNeil would net Reinhardt. All value is relative.

It's really unfortunate. I work in Boca Raton (40 miles North of Miami). I get out at 5-5:30 PM. I live 5 miles from my house and it still takes me 30-45 minutes to get home. A friend of mine who works here lives in Cooper City (outside Miami). She can leave at 5 PM and get home at 7:30. So imagine trying to make a Panther game from Miami when you have to go 60+ miles on THREE different highways. No way.

Yep...and Sharp went to college at Vermont. he's an east coast guy.

Agreed 100%. Campbell deal is up in 1 year. Unlikely he stays in FLA and Sharp doesn't want to be left watching Bolland sit on the IR for 40+ games and playing in front of 5K fans a night in his final year of his deal.

He was on the 3rd line because Saad stepped up his game.
- JRoenick97

Thank You!!! ^^^^^^^

Also Flyers and Isles fans.. how exactly does one show decline during an offseason? Because Sharp had fine numbers through last season and was put on the 3rd line before the season started. I'm guessing Q just knew somehow he was declining based upon his offseason of rest and relaxation? Grasping at straws boys.

If you had two seasons back to back of decline I'd say you are right. But one season while spending time on the 3rd line does not say definite decline. It says his role changed which caused the decline.

Only $1.5M AAV more than Saad (2 yrs longer term) coming out of an ELC. A steal for the latter half of the term.

Interesting. Good stuff...

so the jest is you think Sharpie wants to goto the Isle? I can certainly see that...good young team, big market, stud line 1 Center he could play with. Chance at some leadership. Islanders are very close to being very much a Cup contender. Isles fans seem to have under-rated them a little bit in here .

Based on ROR getting $7.5M, Tarasenko for the same AAV is a good deal for the Blues. Elite scorer who will be great for them for a long time ... unfortunately.

AND THERE'S THIS:

Watch for a team that is moving salary off its books in the form of minor deals in the next 24-36 hours. I am told (good source) this is a team (nameless) that will be making room for a run at Sharp.

So long as Capt. Kangaroo is coaching they don't worry me.
