Just wondering what the good info in the past is? Previous knowledge of a trade before it happened....if you could elaborate on that I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance buddy. - nurk
He said, specifically, the guy he heard this from has given him accurate info on player moves in the past. He also told me what capacity the guy works in, which I can't divulge.
Sounds strange to me, a little bit the opposite of a NMC - like a Must Move Clause if I don't like playing with you idiots.
Maybe he is worried that the team is hemorrhaging money and the owners might pull the plug and decide to sell off players to save money and he would be stuck there. - RickJ

As of now, Patrick Sharp has not been asked to waive his NTC. While that could change with a phone call, told nothing is imminent right now.
If Sharp wants to be on a competitive team, I think Florida is a good landing spot. They've been improving over the years and I think next year could be a break-out year, if not, the year after. But they're getting close to putting the pieces together. - Hank3Henshaw
He has a great house in Wrigleyville that he could keep for a Summer home and the Arena in Florida is adjacent to Weston which is a very upgrade suburb of Ft Lauderdale with a very good school system and Cleveland Clinic hospital. what's so bad about living there in the Winter only. also I've been to the Arena and love it and the price of tickets is great and also parking is awesome

AZ is being kept in place by Bettman at all costs because of the importance regionally for a future Network TV deal. If AZ moves the team a network TV deal will not happen. Florida doesn't hold the same importance. - paulr
Florida is on the verge of making noise though, if they can hang on another year or two, they may turns things around financially.

What's the status on Soupy's contract? A year left? What's the cap hit this season? Just curious. I could seem him angling to come back in the future at a decent price, especially at 36 yo.

Panthers want Sharp, in a BIG WAY, but that makes it hard for them to accept his condition. They want him long term as part of their marketing the team in South FL, "face of the franchise," trust me Panthers fans, that is a good role for him.
His condition is the problem. he wants an assurance if they're not competitive that he can go elsewhere. It is at a "standstill" over this.
There is another team, possibly the Islanders, that has given Bowman a drop dead date for their deal. Something could happen soon. - John Jaeckel
I don't understand... he only has 2 years left on his deal as it is and then he's a UFA and can go anywhere he wants if he doesn't like where they are. So he essentially only wants to commit for 1 year? Doubt that will bring much of anything in return for a one year rental who already is reluctant to even commit to playing there for a couple years.

Sorry I beg to disagree, Panthers are not moving - Maggie
Not now. It seems like the ownership is committed to make it work in Miami. But if attendance doesn't improve in a few seasons, the ownership could change their tune.

Pretty sure they have a good idea what the market is or isn't at this point.
Which is why its a little confusing why nothings done.
I gotta believe though, if there's a deal out there , even for 7th rd picks, and he is up against a deadline with Oduya and Kruger, he would make the deal.
Though I wonder if in the end, what's going to happen is he's going to trade Sharp for nothing, resign Kruger and let Oduya walk because he can't trade Bickell or Versteeg. - vabeachbear
Why would you trust that, when they apparently DIDN'T know what the market was at the draft or the FA opening?
This was what I was thinking with Campbell and Oduya in mind. As for Rozsival, it's time for him to move on. - EKolb13
Absolutely the real Roszival should move on… though I think he has played his last NHL game…
I'm saying that Soupy comes and plays the last year of his contract which makes him, what, 35? Maybe Soupy takes a 2-year deal for $1.5M at that point to be a better Roszival-like figure.

Wait ... what?
I saw my shadow when I walked out of my house this morning ... does that mean we have 6 more weeks of this nonsense?
