I'm extremely high on ryan pulock and scott mayfield will play soon but I don't think there would be a fit for seabrook. Pulock will play this year and most of our d are under 25, and I'm not sure they'd move any of them and pick up a much bigger contract in seabrook.

great defenseman, would love to have him, but I agree there isn't likely a fit for a trade.

- Isles_since_6

The Hawks don't have anyone who even comes close to replacing him either. What he means to the Hawks is hard to replace at this point in their timeline.

He is the rock back there. He can play with anyone. He is a playoff performer. He is well like and respected by his team mates.

To me. There aren't many teams that trading him to that makes sense. Top pairing D-men are hard to find.

Because presumably, there's a market of more than one team.

And why does Montreal want any of those players?
- Sandus

Because we want them to.

Bickell for size, mcneill as quality prospect. Just trying to spark conversation, really

I agree, I find it most likely the hawks will move whoever they have to in order to keep him.

Boychuk was that guy for us this year.

Blow by blow,

He tweeted the panthers have no interest in sharp with the hashtag #seebolland

So, i take that as they have no interest in Sharp because he's an overpaid blackhawk like Bolland, get it? I mean, there's almost no other similarity there, but what the hell it's just 140 characters and a submit button, why not.

So i asked him is that a quote or your opinion?

He wouldn't answer. Well he said it's a "fact," but wouldn't say if it was a quote or his opinion. I asked him two more times and he wouldn't answer.

Because it's his opinion (at this point). And he knows it.

He COULD be right. But I have a good source on this who spoke to someone a lot closer to Dale than Harvey Fialkov is this afternoon. So I'll go with that source, with all due respect.

There is (or was) interest.

The Stars claimed through one of their media guys that they weren't interested in Sharp about an hour after the Hawks rejected their offer.

OF COURSE Dale Tallon is interested in Patrick Sharp. So are about 10-15 other GMs to varying degrees. That was a dumb thing for him to say.

I'm guessing that Harvey has about 12 readers of his hockey column in the entire state of Florida.

Geez, you missed the main similarity--they are both right-handed shots. That's hugely important

Bickell can be had for a bag of pucks at this point, cap relief is more important then a return on him. Just get em outta here

Now I'm hearing one of the Florida owners is saying it's the first he's heard of it.

Well, could be.

But the notion that

a) Florida has ZERO interest in Sharp (what Fialkov believes)

or,

b) has had no discussions about him

. . . is very hard, almost impossible, to believe. Contrary to any official statements.

I mean 10-15 NHL GMs are interested in Sharp. Why WOULDN'T Dale Tallon with his team needs and his cap space be one of them? Because of Dave Bolland?

Stupid.

Yeah Blackhawks fans know that feeling. I remember how empty the UC was before Kane and Toews arrived. Now everyone and anyone(even the majority who don't even know what icing is) are wearing Blackhawks gear in Chicago. Start winning and the fans will follow and show up.

I'll throw out my best educated guess....

I was in chicago when hawks won in 2010. Walked to hawkquarters to buy cup gear listening to how buy-flu-gen, toes, and hi-jarl-mar-son were awesome.

I think it was 2005, i drove from bloomfield, indiana to chicago for a charity dinner to meet aucoin, yawney, and mark bell. Got a business card from one of the staff that gave me two free tickets to the hawks in the 100 bowl

I can understand how the Panthers may have lost interest in Sharp, We have been trying to move him for so long, that I am starting to lose interest myself

Its beyond stupid now! What is taking long.. Just move them Stan.. at this point who cares what you get back. It appears he over played his hand and is now in the corner. JO and MK need deals. Just get it done....

If Sharp is not gone by the end of the week, we have a problem and will likely have to move more than we want to.

Waiting is also the most dangerous part.

Every day that goes by increases the chance the Kruger and/or Oduya decide enough.

That's your potential return for Sharp - 16 and 27.

That is just so old.

If Arizona wasn't in the news so often for their financial issues, the spotlight would be on the Panthers for theirs. I hope the team succeeds in that market, but wouldn't bet a nickel on it. They don't draw flies at home and their road games are give away tickets.
