I do that kind of poop in NHL all the time. I lose phones like crazy (I'm surprised I even have a phone to use in the game, my GM rep is constantly around -50) but it always pans out in the end.

All joking aside, I really think GMTM did the right thing. He blew the roster to smithereens for the past 2 years to ice a team he wanted this fall. The cupboard restocking starts at next year's draft. There's time to re-up on prospects, there is a literal never ending supply of them and it's not like our prospect pool is barren.

Look, I'm not saying these are automatically bad moves. However, I also think it's more than just a little silly to think that they won't have repercussions. He gave up a lot to land what he did. There's no getting around it.

Oprah can let us know how well they do today.

That looks like the most exciting line of the day across the board. Reinhart gets shafted with average scoring talent. Although they'll make a poopload of room for him.

Head to head in the World Juniors, Reinhart looked better than Eichel did. It's not incredibly surprising, seeing as how Reinhart is a year older, and his supporting cast was a bit better. It's not unfathomable to think Reinhart may need a bit of time in the minors, but the notion that Eichel is definitely ready whereas Reinhart is not, is a bit premature.

That being said, I don't expect either player to light the world on fire next year.

I mean I just hate the idea of throwing kids in too early (Ex. Grigo)

Just look at what one year of Roch. did for the likes of Risto and Girgensons.

Where does he fit in the Depth chart as of today? 2RW? 3C? I don't like either of those.
- Sabre_Tooth

Could be anywhere. Let them guys hit the ice for a few. October is still a few months away.

The issue wasn't playing Grigorenko in the NHL it was playing Grigorenko on the 4th line with the likes of Pat Kaleta and John Scott.

Eichel centering Moulson and Ennis and Reinhart centering McGinn or Foligno and Gionta is not the same thing.

Edit: This is another reason why Ville Leino sucks. During training camp before the short season began Grigo was centering Leino and Ott. Leino got hurt and it threw everything off.

Fair enough, but I also think the players that are playing the best need to stay here. If Reinhart looks better than Eichel, and Reinhart gets sent down anyway, it would be a little ridiculous. However, I don't think Bylsma operates like that. At least, I hope he doesn't.

I hear you. I just think that a new GM should come in and make a team his. Granted, Tim Murray did that and then some (and then some more) but as long as he lays off the accelerator from here on out, I'm perfectly fine with the way he handled his first 2 (actually, 1.5) years on the job.

After 15 years of Darcy sitting around with his thumb up his ass and pulling some last minute trade for (frank)ing RAFFI TORRES or some blatantly horrid signing like Leino, only AFTER letting our good players walk, I'm pretty stoked at the way GMTM completely blew the roster up.

I feel giddy to be a Buffalo sports fan for the first time in like 10 years (even though I always watch Bills/Sabres games).

I totally agree.

In the end its Bylsma and GMTM's call, but I would hate to do either of our #2 overalls a disservice of pushing them into the big leagues to early.

I see there being pressure on letting Eichel play NHL all year. To be honest, he has proven so up to this point. I don't have a problem with it. He slots into 2C next year with no problem I think.

I think we ought to take up a collection and put it on a billboard.

If we can develop enough momentum from the regular posters on here, I will find out what the rental rate for a billboard on the 190 near the arena.

I asked my wife this weekend, "Why do people dislike me before they even get to know me?"

She said: "It just saves time."
