Can't see how signing Lucic long-term would benefit the Kings salary structure. As Jason pointed out, they'll have to re-sign Kopitar, and in another couple years they're going to have to re-sign Toffoli again, and Tyler isn't going to settle for the same kind of contract he just signed after what Buffalo and Columbus did to upset the salary structure for younger players. They also don't need another player who's going to wear down himself in the process of wearing down other players. How many more years do they have to pay Brown? The Kings should focus on perhaps becoming a faster and quicker skating team rather than just trying to grind their opponents into the ice every game. - yesitscal
I've been wanting this for awhile, but since it's been working with the grind style (except for last year) why fix it. But I do agree with you the Kings need to slowly transition to that fast pace style of play in the next year or two. |

It's going to strike again because we have dumb owners like Pegula trying to cheat the salary cap system. O'Reilly's contract is laughable. But yeah I agree there will be another strike as well which is a joke all in its self. All of us fans are the ones that get hurt in the end. |

Teams learned fast how to circumvent the current cba. Should be able to terminate any player at any time if they no longer are able to produce. Once they become useless therye no longer holding up theyre end of the deal. |

Quite frankly, Lucic is one of the most overrated players in the NHL from the years I've watched him. Dirty player as well |

Seems to be a clear rental. With the core in their relative primes, it is absolutely worth the risk. I think LA wins the Pacific this year. |

Now that he doesn't play for boston expect Lucic to get at least suspended once this year
He hasn't been the same since Weise did a Lucic flex and after the handshake line

LA is losing players via not resigning them and retirement. Dont think they should be giving out 1st rounders for rentals atm. Esp with a cap issue and the need to fit Kopi's new deal into the mix. This was a solid draft to have a 13th pick. |

my condolences to the Kings for landing that classless piece of garbage Lucic. If he joined my team, I'd quit hockey. Lucic is what happens when Sean Avery has a bowel movement. |

When you have an equally dirty player in Perry that they have to play against its well worth it to have Lucic . Perry is a scum bag |

Idk where this bad attitude talk came from but I don't believe it for a second. Looch occasionally wore the A when there were injuries and seemed to be very well liked by all in the organization. The biggest gripe with him is that people think he disappears for stretches... It's not totally untrue but you can't really expect him to go all out rough and tough 82+ games a year. He always seemed to show when it mattered most (ex. Lucic went straight beastmode in game 7 vs Toronto. He may be the #1 reason for that comeback)
As far as the trade if la resigns then it's just a good deal for both sides. LA gets a beast power forward and bos got some great assets for a player they didn't feel they could resign. I hope he tears it up for you guys! Boston will always love lucic |

Some people think they actually know the players on a personal level because they watch them on TV. |

Unless Voynov's contract and Richards becomes completely void, I just don't see how you guys can resign him. Otherwise, no real issues. - Danformo
D Brown will be moved at th trade deadline. Even if he's having a better statistical season he'll just fetch a bigger return. Loyalty has left the building and your "captain" should have a better pulse of the locker room goings ons. Not blaming him for the Richards and stoll situations but he should've known about it and spoke up in the room. With his contract gone there should be some breathng room. My only hope is that our D holds up. Voynov back in the lineup will be a great help. |

Trade Brown to Toronto for their 1st . Austin Mathews will look good in a Kings jersey .... I just hope Richards contract will stay off the books. We'll see what happens to Voynov in the coming weeks. |

It's not Forsberg for Erat bad but it's close. You don't trade a top 15 pick plus for a 1 year rental. Only way you re-sign is if he stinks so he's gone either way |
