Why don't you stop running your mouth already, if any other team in the league did this nobody would say a damn thing. Go run your mouth on the Bruins blog.

The dude forgets the awful contracts that CLB gave to guys like Wisniewski and Horton. Both if which they were able to move out but those are far, far less deserving guys that ROR.

Not to mention that Horton and Saad are basically going to be rhe same. They are products of good teammates.

If we lose another season over this issue, who does it affect more?
Columbus, or Buffalo?

- puckhead17

Yea okay.. paying ROR 7.5M for 7 years would be the main and only reason for the next lockout. Got it.

Not when Stamkos gets 12M.. or Kane and Toews making 10.5M. Or Weber and Kopitar making 10M.. or. Chara, Giroux, Malkin, Crosby, Getzlaf, and Perry making 8+M... it was ALL ROR and Buffalo's fault.

Brandon Saad signing bonus? The amount begins with a Z and in ERO. Also his contract is backloaded. Meaning the Jackets are banking on him getting better.

Not at all the same. Good try though.

- blacksheep1

not the point. The point is your team will lose money this year, yet it still pays it's player, hence your organzation is a detriment to the league.

ROR has lead the NHL in takeaways for 2 straight years to help his linemates and had more even strength points than guys like Crosby, Bergeron, and Backes.

Aren't the Panthers, Coyotes, and Blue Jackets the 3 worst revenue and poorest teams in the NHL?

Horton's contract wasn't bad at all until the back problems started. He had done a lot more in his career than O'Reilly and signed for 2.2m less a year. To compare those two contracts is ridiculous. He was a 6 time 20 goal scorer and hit 30 once. And if you average out his injury shortened seasons he would of been well over 20 those years as well. Not to mention he was coming off nearly a pt per game playoffs.

I would say that hurts, but the Sabres ran out a Calder winner in Tyler Myers for Zach "I can't stay healthy" Bogosian. Not a real win in hat deal.
- blacksheep1

Yea their is no point in mentioning Evander kane.

How about a 1st and voracek for carter anyone?

There is no point trying to explain hockey to someone in Columbus, they don't watch nor understand it. It's like speaking french to an American. (Not meant to be offensive to americans, seeing that I am one as well)

He had 5 more point than Brandon Saad, while being paid 6.5 million. Now Saad is paid at 6 million per while ROR is at 7.5 million(On the books of course). So that's 300k per point.

Great deal.

The point that you relate a contact solely on point production shows how clueless you truly are.

Two things, that isn't revenue, that is value. Second, you really think once the islanders start playing in Brooklyn, the value of the blue jackets will still be greater?

Edit: So congratulations you're ahead of one team that is about to be relocated, and another team that should be relocated.

Click revenue(Mil) ascend from best to worst. Jackets 4th worst, not top 3.

Then refer to the second part, you think once when the islander move, the jackets will still be ahead of them? Are you really bragging about being ahead of a team that is going to relocate next year, Phoenix. A team that is moving this year, the islanders. And a team that will move within the next 5 years, Florida?

Thanks for pointing out which team should move to Quebec, Columbus.

Phoenix to Las Vegas(seems unavoidable)
Florida to Seattle
Columbus to Quebec
