While driving up contract prices, the NHLPA could care less about 80% of their members, all they care about is driving up player contracts and guys spending to the upper cap limit.

Yeah we saw this from the lockouts, players making league minimums wanted to go back to work, & were considered "non brothers", to the high payed players.
But if your making league minimum, and dressing across a $52 m teammate, who signed a structure where you have to pay more escrow for him, what are you thinking?

The bigger question of the day should be is there really a fan of Columbus on Hockeybuzz ??

Your thinking this is better than digging a ditch somewhere or flipping burgers at McDonalds.

All this money being tossed around, can't wait for the next lock out!
- Panthers88

that's on bettman and fehr

cap went up way too fast and did exactly the opposite of what the first lock out was suppose to fix

but don't worry, the expansion teams will put a 3 year band-aid on this mess

Nobody had a problem with Shea Weber making $14M a year for the first 4 years of his contract with $1M base salary for escrow, why the stink about ROR now? Get a clue.
- theblueandgold[/quote

Get a clue?
Then why are non of the other salaries this summer structured this way?
Because he has a genius agent, and all others aren't?

Hey I'm not blaming you guys. This little brat gets this type of money, what kind of money is a player like Kopitar gonna want next year? It'll snow ball from there.

I haven't been able to find it anywhere but does the expansion money go into the league revenue for cap calculation, my guess would be no but I haven't been able to find it. Of course I really haven't looked that hard for it.

Already mentioned that. Weber's deal is longer and in years 2016-22 the League gets to escrow out of 4 million dollar and 6 million dollar salary.
