Considering we don't have any natural RWs except Gionta I'd say he's an upgrade. He would play on the 2nd line with Eichel and presumably Moulson.

Who cares what someone's "natural" position is?
I get it if someone is playing a position & just isn't any good at all...
Ennis, Gionta, Reinhart, Girgensons, McGinn, Foligno, Larsson & Deslauriers can all play RW just fine
Plus,
Bailey & Baptiste are both natural RWs
I'm not gonna hve them held up in Rochester so we can sign an average player

I don't see how Stewart would make us any better at all
Maybe he's a lotto ticket & get back to scoring 25 goals if he were to play with Reinhart or Eichel....
But I'm only signing him (or any forward) if we trade someone (for a dman hopefully)

Need to some confirmation on the ROR contract, so does his signing bonus still count towards the salary cap ? Basically there is no incentive stuff in this contract, just flat out you get $10 million and then $1 million dollar salary payments during the course of ther regular season ?

Basically the signing bonus does not go into escrow for the league.

just stinks that we are very strong on the right side and weak on the left. Bogo is also good enough to be the 2nd rd.

That was a pretty dismal performance the past 2 years+ and hasn't had that much success on ice since he purchased the team, and while the prospects look very good that isn't a surefire way to

But having a almost historically bad season is nothing to be proud of or called "winning"

Just another jealous person. It's hilarious and obvious. They criticize the tank but wish they got Eichel and try to justify staying mediocre as pride. Criticize ROR but wish they had him. Criticize Kane but wish they had him. Criticize the ownership because they mostly have "self imposed" spending caps and the Sabres don't. Amazing how every move the Sabres made is scrutinized, yet they acknowledge it's already a much better team.

Eichel will be 19 or 15.

My bet is 19.
