When Read was firing on all cylinders a couple years ago he looked he was turning into Sharp-lite.

It doesnt make any sense to trade for him. Oshie I could see he was younger

Justin Williams...Patrick Sharp...

Seems like they want to bring a guy in with a championship pedigree from the hawks/kings that also fits their style. We know how highly the flyers think of these teams.

They might figure bringing in a leadership voice that still has 2-3 years left in them could serve the team well as they look to influx it with the youngsters. Can't fault them for thinking like that I suppose.
