I'd move any d prospect but provorov and sanhiem to get shattenkirk. Tarasenko is a RFA who is going to get a big payday so his future is still uncertain at this point to an extent. (Not saying he isn't going to get signed.

I'm all for the course but I think this kinda trade wouldn't hurt us at all. Both are young players. Shattenkirk is a clear 2 and tarasenko is a top line LW both things we need.

Trust me, I'd love to have Shattenkirk and/or Tarensanko on the Flyers. But as someone mentioned earlier, the Blues don't have to trade either player. So the only way it would make sense on their end is if the offer is too good to pass up.

We switch 2 d prospects for an established D man. 2 20 goal guys and picks for a bona-fide top line LW for many years to play with G and voracek. Coutts and simmonds have the 2 ND line.

Tarasenko is what 22 ? And scored 30 some goals twice ? He's not going anywhere blues literally will trade the rest the team first. That's not enough to make the cap work either he's getting 7.5+ million a year.

shattenkirk however is their 3rd d man. For a reasonable deal I'd do it but I don't see him going for a reasonable amount. You don't trade away top 2 defenseman and top line scoring wingers for 2nd liners and mild d prospects. I'm not high on hagg like this forum is. Think he's never shown any work ethic to improve his game or take his game higher.

St. Louis is ready to win now. I don't think they're looking to add picks and prospects, and I don't think Schenn, Laughton, Read, and AMac are enough to offset what they'd lose in Tarasenko and Shattenkirk.

Plus, that's still a stupid overpayment by the Flyers.
