Most were assists. He had someone to finish. Ennis hasn't . We can check those stats after this season.

I really like Ennis, but if that's the ceiling for Drouin he wouldn't have been taken 3rd overall.

Ennis gets to play with ROR, Eichel, Girgensons, Reinhart as his centers this year.

Who would have put Colorado in the playoffs two years ago? Or Calgary last year? Not many... Right now I have us 9th and with the offensive talent on our roster I think that's a pretty fair assessment give or take a few positions. Philly and Boston haven't done anything to scare me. Isles were a playoff team last year... Let's see if they can do the same this year. Not a proven team at all. Florida we have a much better roster than them IMO

I think the top 4 d man will come in the next week. I'm pretty confident in that.
Back up goalie... I agree I'm not crazy about Johnson but maybe if one of the guys in Rochester is good he can come up mid season when Ulmark is healthy and can play in Rochester.
Developing team chemistry I think will happen fast. They've stripped the team of any negative energy... Brought in guys who want to win and are use to winning will be key. You can tell this team is hungry and I believe they get it going sooner than later.

Even with that. You can move Ennis wherever you want and he gets to play with a real center next year.
