Getting 6.5 from Anaheim is a number that the Hawks couldn't match so they trade him to the east instead of letting him compete against us all season in the west. Plus Anisimov and Dano are good players that fill spots we need. I think it was a good move by Stan to keep him out of the west.

No, he's asking for big, big money and he absolutely deserves it in my opinion. He might get an offer sheet thrown at him and that is something we couldn't afford to happen. If he does get one, you can cover it easy. Enjoy, he's a great player and you now have a hell of a top-six

If Saad wanted $6.5m the cost would be Seabrook. I'll wait to see what he actually signs for but if the $6.5 is close than I'll take Dano. The kid's numbers after February were amazing. Risk would be if he is a streaky player like Nyquist.

Saad had a great playoffs. Streaky in the regular season though. Good for him to get a pay day but will be interesting to see his numbers away from Toews, Kane et al...
