After Ville Leino it's hard for me to classify anything on July 1 a "surprise"



That being said, I think the blues will surprise. too many disappointing playoff runs not to.

The good thing is we have $19.2M in cap space so expect some deals today or tomnorrow.

Not a lot comes off next year really, "only" 6 million from Legwand and McGinn, then the rest are sub-2M for the most part.

I was really excited about Ehrhoff. Ville Leino left me puzzled at best. Way too much money for some clown with one year of >60 points.

More concerned with what contracts will mean in future years. 19.2 can be filled up, but unfortunately that could mean 5-6 years also.

I'm not here to give any passes, but 39 did say it was a 95% possibility. And all but done.

Murray even admitted he thought Babcock was coming here. Which means, they were damn close.

His Evander Kane deal was almost spot on. The actual deal had a minor tweak, I think a 2nd turned into a 1st. That's it.

No one could have pulled that out of their ass without prior knowledge.
