Non-speculatory Swings and Misses so far:
Artemi Panarin
Mike Rielly
Brandon Saad
I'm glad we are trying but at some point you gotta win one of these - YouMeAndDupuis9
What's that Russians name again?? |

#3 in a competition between 2 teams for the most part for Reilly... was that really a miss or just a lot of wishful thinking for us. - Guile
They are all attempts to land young talent....I think its a competition. |

Make no mistake, aside from NYI, CBJ is going to be tough. But it's not like their team has no holes either. |

I can get behind this. Everyone loves Saad, but that might have been worse than the proposed Kessel trade. - Tojo.
Saad is 22. Great cap hit. Kessel is what, 27? 8M hit. We're going to be told to become interested in excitement over 31 year old Alex Semin probably at 4.5M. Then again I think Semin is going to Ottawa or Colorado. |

You have a better chance of being mauled by a Japanese tiger than Jim Rutherford being awake past midnight. |

Well this action about Saad, would confirm no Kessel trade is about to be announced or been completed. |

We don't know what his cap hit is going to be. Word out of Chicago is he was looking for 8 years 7mil per... Even at 6.5, he's a good player, but that's not a "great" cap hit. |

Whoever said it before is right. Love Saad (indepedent of where he was born) but he's not nearly as valuable at $6M. He is worth it, but Saad on his deal with the hawks was 1000x more valuable.
Assuming same assets to acquire would you guys rather have Saad at $6.5M or Kessel at $8M |

If he gets 6.5M like he's reportedly asking for, that's not a good cap hit. |

Wasn't there a lot of chatter on the a Rags board & every other board they invaded about their core & they have no problems going forward??? Things are changing big time & I still think although not a contender we will be ok also. |

Guile wanted me to warn everyone that careful posting in the CHI boards because they are banning people for anything. |

I love the move, they get even deeper up front, but they are not that strong on the back end to pay for all that aging talent up front. Hartnell and Clarkson cost you like 10 mill right? I think they overpaid Foligno too. |

Drew Stafford, who has never done anything, has a new 4.35M cap hit. Adding a Nick Spaling contract on top of that and it equating to the prime of Saad's career is a wonderful cap hit. |

Madden said that Ryan Johansen took or is looking to take a bridge deal to free up room to fit in Saad.
