Can confirm that Penguins made a failed attempt to acquired Brandon Saad, who has ended up in Columbus.

So If they can't sign an extension by Noon tomorrow he can still be offer sheeted right?

Or are there grace periods for trades in this matter?

Highly doubt Sharp is traded now. Which is a good thing because I was afriad Pens would have tried for him.

That was a weak return for Chi. I would have offered Pouliot and a 1st. Then trade Kunitz to whichever teams lose out in free agency
