We'll see. If we can't move him, maybe Babcock and Roberts turn things around for him and he has an 80 point season and plays with the kind of jam he had the year we made the playoffs. Come trade deadline, could be a completely different outlook on Phil.

Phaneuf: yes, we'll have to eat some salary, but only due to his age/term; he's really not that far off the mark (Niskanen's hit is 5.75M and he's not a better player than Phaneuf).

I would think if we ate 1-1.5M of the 7M or took a bad contract for more, but less term, we'd get a decent return for him (1st round pick, good prospect).
