Let me explain it to you for your small brain. The gene on 20 has no role with the gene on 23. If you have the gene on 23 you will be Susceptible to be bald. If you have it on 20 you will be Susceptible to be bald.

They have NO link except for causing the same thing.

Yes, there is a hormone receptor on the X-chromosome that makes it slightly more prevalent to be expressed from your mom's side, but baldness itself is autosomal (multi, non-sex-chromosomal).
